Let’s Look – 11/8/23

Happy Wednesday! This is one of my favorite linkups of the month because I am so curious about how other people do things. I try to find great systems for organizing, planning, and creating routines but I know there is always room for improvement.

Linking up with Erika and Shay

In January, we talked about scheduling and organizing a busy family.

In February, we talked about our medicine cabinets.

In March, we are talking about our all time favorite Amazon finds.

I shared a quick pet peeve in April.

In May, I shared my morning routine.

In July, I shared my favorite new summer finds.

In August, I shared my worst habits.

In September, I shared my evening routine.

In October, I shared my biggest fears. I am not even putting a picture here because once on the internet is enough!

This month is all about stocking stuffers! I love these! I typically do stockings for my kids, Jeff, and my parents. I have already started shopping for stockings, but I can’t share everything because my mom reads my blog! Hi Mom!!

This picture is a few years old but it works! We hang our stockings on the railing each year. My mom made all three of these stockings for her grandchildren. I love them! Don’t you?

For my kids, I like to include fun versions of things I know they need. I pick a new toothbrush, toothpaste, shower poof, bandaids, and lip balm. I also put candy or gum in their stockings. I’ve put colorful charging cords (similar here) in there so we each have our own color.

For Jeff and my parents, I try to find fun things I happen upon. I might include a backscratcher, Spongelle body buffers, car dusters, mini-tools, lotions, a pen or notepad, and a fun food treat.

While stocking shopping can (and does) happen online, I love to walk through stores to pick up stocking stuffers. For my mom, Francesca’s, Ulta, and Michael’s can be great places. I used to love Pier 1, but ours closed. For my dad and Jeff, I find some ideas at the hardware store and department stores. We have quite a few small shops on Main Street and they are good places to find stocking stuffers. I also like to wander through a good Barnes and Noble to find stocking stuffers.

  1. Joanne says:

I buy a lot of the same things for my boys too and have year after year. Though I do like to toss in the occasional unexpected item (like the year I gave my husband meat claws for pulling pork or Alec some cute panda oven mitts).
