Happy Wednesday! This is one of my favorite linkups of the month because I am so curious about how other people do things. I try to find great systems for organizing, planning, and creating routines but I know there is always room for improvement.
In January, we talked about scheduling and organizing a busy family.

In February, we talked about our medicine cabinets.

In March, we are talking about our all time favorite Amazon finds.

I shared a quick pet peeve in April.
This month I am sharing my morning routine. Full disclosure, I thought last month’s topic was morning routine so I documented my routine one day during spring break. It was much later in the morning so the sun was shining in our bathroom. Just imagine it is in the 5 o’clock hour and dark.
My alarm goes off at 5 am. I usually hit snooze once to doze and once to read a few emails. The first thing I do when I get up is put on my slippers. These are my favorite slippers. I get a new pair for Christmas every year because I wear straight through them in a year.

Then, I walk into our bathroom and turn on all three lights (bathroom, closet, water closet) to make it as bright as possible. It helps me wake up and I can see better to put my contacts in.

Next up, brush teeth. This is my second Sonicare toothbrush and I love it. If I have to use a regular toothbrush, I feel like my teeth are not quite clean enough.

On work mornings, I change and head down to our basement to workout. On weekend mornings, I stay in my pjs as long as I can and head downstairs.

On school mornings, I am back upstairs by 6:10 at the latest and hop in the shower. No pictures of that, of course! 😉
When I get out of the shower, I always always always put on a robe. I travel with my bathrobe, even for an overnight. I have less bulky robes for travel, but at home I love a fluffy robe. This Lilly robe has seen better days, but I love it!

Then, I start my after shower serum and lotion routine. I go from right to left to moisturize and keep this face looking great!

Next, I run a wide tooth comb through my hair and spray the Sun Bum conditioner in it. I use my hands to scrunch the curls up. I let my hair air dry while I get dressed and then use the curl defining cream. I scrunch that in too, and head out with wet hair. I do not use a hair dryer ever.

After I’m dressed and my hair is done, I put on a little makeup. I use this every single day. I’ll add a lip gloss when I head out the door.

Then, I make sure the boys are up and head down to the kitchen to make breakfast, assemble my lunch, and scoot out the door to work with an ice cold La Croix, hopefully by 7 am.

That’s my morning. If you’re wondering what my whole day is like, I shared a day in the life yesterday. I picked Tuesday because it is my least scheduled day and my May goal is to make it a very productive day. I can’t wait to see what everyone else’s routine looks like. What is your morning routine? Are there any parts you love or are looking to improve? Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

Love how you are a morning person too!
I find turning on the lights and making things bright is a great way to wake myself up fully first thing.
Love the robe! So cute. Ive been using golden bond for about a month and I swear I can tell a difference!
