Hello Monday – 2/10/25

Happy Monday! I’m starting the week with Holly and all of you! I hope you’ll link up with us for Hello Monday!

As I was going through my weekend, I realized that I’ve been to a favorite things party and never shared it with you! Yikes! When I go away with some girlfriends in November, we typically do a favorite things exchange. In 2023 we opted for a funny tshirt exchange, but this year we went back to favorite things.

With this group of friends, we each bring one of our favorite things for everyone. So at the end of the evening, you go home with one of everyone’s favorite thing. I’ve been to parties where you only bring three of your favorite thing and you go home with three people’s favorite thing. Both are good options, but with this friend group we decided to bring something for everyone.

I got my favorite thing way back in August when we were at the beach. I forgot to bring a smaller tote/purse for going out to dinner or to our concert. We popped into Quiet Storm, a surf shop, and saw these bags. They were on a great sale and I loved them! In addition to being a super bag, they also remind me of our fun beach weekend together. Bags, beach, and fun are all favorite things for me!

I got this fun print, a blue floral, a white floral, and an orange floral print for the girls.

Jamie got us these great wallets. They are perfect for popping in your pocket or a small cross body/belt bag with just the essentials. I actually got one for Jeff in a different print for Christmas and he loves it, too!

Kerry got these great conversation starters for us. She sugggested keeping them on her dining room table to spur on great family conversations. Brilliant!

Sarah shared these huggie earrings. I haven’t tried huggies before. They are so comfortable to wear and add a great sparkle!

Julie got us all these fun slides. Mine are sparkly, which is perfect for me, and are very comfortable!

Lindsay shared her favorite thing – reading – reading with us. We each got a different book and a reading journal. After reading, we can all trade books and see what Lindsay loved about all of them!

Sam’s favorite thing was for all of the mid-40s ladies. She shared a neck fan, which I am looking forward to having this summer at swim meets, and some full body deoderant that I’d never tried.

Kara gave us a keychain charm to remind us that we are strong, smart, and powerful women. 😊

We also went to Sunsations, a beach treasure store, and came home with koozies from OC!

I have been attending favorite things parties for years. They are inspired by Oprah’s Favorite Things shows and are just as much fun! Here are the links to my other Favorite Things posts:

I love favorite things for so many reasons. 1-you get to try things you might never buy for yourself or know about. 2-it is a great way to get to know your friends and things they like. 3-introducing each item and why it is our favorite thing or why we picked it for this group of ladies is always special. What would you bring to a favorite things party? Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

Is the cat on the silver sparkly slides giving us the middle finger? If so, I needed that! I also must buy those for my cousin. She loves cats and hates everyone. ha!
I don’t want to yuck your yum, but Lume worked for me in my pits for maybe 2 months and then the smell my body produced was otherworldly. I have never smelled so bad in my life. Plus I hated all three lume scents I tried. Tom bought Mando and I warned him.

I’ve never been to one, but am thinking about hosting one this year. Sounds like fun! Do you set a price limit or anything goes?
