Happy Thursday! Happy Halloween! Happy Diwali! It’s the last Thursday of the month so I am linking up with Holly and Patty to answer 10 fun seasonal questions. I love thinking about my answers and seeing everyone else’s answers, too!

In January, we talked about winter self-care.

In February, we are talked about surviving the winter months.

In March, we talked about spring fashion.

In April, we talked about all things spring.

In May, we talked about getting ready for summer.

In June, we talked about summer travel and traditions.

In July, we talked about summer fashion and fun.

In September, we talked about back to school routines, recipes, and fashion.

This month we are talking about Halloween and fall fun!

1.What do you usually do for Halloween?
Ever since we moved into our house, we trick or treat in our neighborhood. It’s a good one for trick or treating and it’s fun to see all the neighbors!
2. Favorite fall traditions?
I love trick or treating and carving pumpkins. Often we carve our pumpkins on Halloween afternoon. I also love when we toss our pumpkins out in the field behind us and watch them smash or roll way down the hill.
3. Milky way or Snickers? Starburst or Skittles?
Milky way AND Snickers. I like Skittles better than Starburst. My favorite chocolate candys are Reese’s, Butterfinger, and Kit Kat. My favorite non-chocolate candys are the big sour lifesaver gummy rings, Sour Patch Kids, and Nerds.
4. Trick or treat or host a party?
Trick or treat. We have friends that host a party earlier in October, but on Halloween night we trick or treat.
5. Handout candy or go with the trick or treaters?
I used to go with the trick or treaters and my parents would hand out candy at our house, but lately I have been handing out candy and Jeff has been going with the trick or treaters. I enjoy doing both, but it is pretty fun to see all the kids in their costumes. I teach all the kids in our neighborhood so that makes it extra fun!
6. Do you trick or treat on Halloween or a different day?
We trick or treat on Halloween.
7. Do you decorate for Halloween?
I sure do. I was hoping to get some pictures, but it got too late on Wednesday evening. I have mostly pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns. I have a few sugar skulls from old Trader Joe’s planters that I put out, too.
8. What do you do with leftover Halloween candy?
What do you mean leftover Halloween candy??? I am not sure what this is… Haha! We keep it. I buy a lot of candy and we go through a lot of candy, but I save at least one bag of our favorites to hand out at the very end. This means we are only left with candy we really like.
9. What are your trick or treat hours?
Our town usually does 6-8 pm. When Halloween is on a weekend, it goes a little later.
10. What do you have for dinner on Halloween?
We always have chili. It is filling and easy. I usually make it in the crockpot and it is warm whenever someone is ready to eat it. It also makes for an easy day after Halloween lunch. This year Luke has requested anything but chili so I am also making mummy hot dogs for anyone who wants to eat them.
Happy Halloween! I hope everyone has fun today! Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

Chili and Mummy Dogs are on our menu tonight too! Love that you teach the kids in your neighborhood- it must be so fun to see them all dressed up!
I’m right there with you on your 3 favorite chocolate candies! My boys don’t eat chili so that was never an option for us on Halloween night; and I didn’t mind as I am not a huge chili fan either.
