Happy Friday! Happy November! Happy day after Halloween and good luck to my teacher friends today. It’s going to be a wild day at school when the tired, sugar crashing, Halloween let down darlings try to make it through a day of school! This was a great week and I have some favorites for you!

Favorite 1: HALLOWEEN! Yesterday was so much fun! My friend Amy and I dressed up at work. Have you seen Nepia and Harrison on TikTok or Instagram? They are the New Zealand dancing stomping guys that wear loafers? Usually they dance in the garage but sometimes they are in a workout studio in tracksuits. Well, we did the tracksuits. We had kids stomp dancing all day in the library and it was so fun!

Jack and Luke went trick or treating with friends. Jeff went along with Luke and our neighbor and I handed out candy. It was so fun! Both kids came home at some point and changed costumes. I loved seeing so many kids I teach now and that have moved on to middle and high school in their costumes.

Quite a few years ago, my mom got witch hat headbands for my sister and me. I love that thing! It’s comfortable and festive. I almost always wear it for trick or treating. I wore my Margaritaville trick or treat in flip flop feet shirt, too because the weather was perfect for it!

Favorite 2: CLEANING UP! As much as I love decorating for a holiday, I am so ready to clean it up when it’s over. I left the pumpkin things out for Thanksgiving, but anything that was totally Halloween is down. I have towels ready for the washer, cups in the dishwasher, and a pile of things started on our dining room table. Moving on to the next holiday!

Favorite 3: WEATHER!! It has been so warm lately and I am loving it! I came home on Halloween and immediatly changed into shorts. Jack didn’t want to carve a pumpkin, but Luke did so we sat on the driveway and enjoyed the sunshine. He did a great job!

I walked the track at Luke’s soccer practice on Wednesday night in short sleeves. It was still warm at 8 pm which was a bit of a surprise.
Favorite 4: SUN!! The sunrises and sunsets have been beautiful this week! I only have pictures of two, but they are stunning! Next week, the time change may mess up my timing with catching the sunrise, but I’ll still be on the lookout.

Favorite 5: CHICKEN! I really do love chicken. I love it grilled, air fried, baked, shredded, in chicken salad, it goes on and on. Jeff asked for chicken parm a few weeks ago and it kept getting bumped from our meal plan. I made it this week and it was so yummy! As I was making it, I remembered that I used to make homemade chicken nuggets for the boys when they were little and it made me smile. Now they can open that Perdue chicken tender bag themselves and cook whatever they want. Time sure flies!

Favorite 6: GROCERY DELIVERY! I mentioned it earlier this week, but I loved having my groceries delivered. I have my second delivery today and I am thrilled with how convenient it is!

This was a busy week on the blog and in real life. I am looking forward to a little slower pace next week, even if it means our routine will be all over the place. Both boys have a swim meet this weekend and I am excited to see how they do. Jeff and I are going to a bull roast on Saturday night and it is always a good time! Have a great weekend full of sunshine and books!

You win for my favorite costume! I laughed so hard when I saw your video! Happy weekend!
It looks like your family had a wonderful Halloween! I am the same way about taking down the decorations right after a holiday; as much as I love decorating I also like taking it all down and getting the house back “in shape.”
Yes! I have seen those stomping guys from New Zealand, love them and I love your costumes. What fun! It looks like a great Halloween!
We have had some amazing sunsets here and our clocks changed at the weekend which means I catch them when cooking our evening meal.
That’s great to see the sun while you are cooking in the evening! I love sunsets!
You and your friend crushed it! You are so fun- I am sure the kids loved it 🙂
Thanks! We had so much fun!
