Happy Monday! Today is one of my favorite posts of the year. It is Summer Beach Reads 2024! As I curate this list, I am knee deep in the crazy of May and so ready to be relaxing and reading a book from this list. As I read more each year, I find new authors that I love so this list gets longer and longer each year. I have a great set of books for you this year, so grab a pencil and paper and get comfortable.
I call these summer beach reads, but I will read them ANYWHERE! I read on the beach,
at the pool,
on my deck,
in the car, on a plane, on the couch, in bed before I fall asleep, or anywhere else I have a few minutes to read.
Like always, I’ll be sharing the books in the order they are published. Some are out now, others are coming out next week, and more will be published throughout the summer. Here we go…

Do you see what I meant? It is a long list of great books!! In past years, I’ve put the summary of the books in the post, but it was getting too long. I’ve decided that this year, I’m going to share the summaries of books being published that week on Sunday or Monday to keep the Summer Beach Reads excitement going all summer!

One more thing I recommend to get you ready for your summer reading is to check in with your library and local bookstore. Our library and bookstore offer so many activities throughout the summer for adults and kids. My kids and I always sign up for the summer reading program at the library. We can track all of our reading on the app and it is so easy! Your librarians and booksellers are also amazing resources for finding new books and authors!
I am not sure what book I am going to read first. I usually wait until school is out to begin reading Summer Beach Reads, but I might start early this year. I am so excited to read these books. Which book are you most excited about?

So many great books! I’m currently reading Expiration Dates and I just finished Darling Girls plus I have a couple of these that I’m picking up at the library today. But you also have a few on here I hadn’t heard of and weren’t on my radar yet.
I’m excited to read both of those!
I just chose my summer books too..& many of these are on my list. I can’t wait for some time to read.

Thanks for doing all the work to create this list. I have Summers at the Saint on my to read list already but will add some of the others that sound good too. I just read Expiration Dates and enjoyed that one. I love Elin Hildebrand’s books and wlll definitely look for that one too. Happy reading!
