Happy Friday! It’s another fun date – 23 23! I excited about these little things. We had a great week around here and I have some favorites to share. Let’s get to it!
Favorite 1: BOOKS!! I finished two books this week. One I have been “reading” for TWO YEARS and the other is a book by one of my favorite authors that I never read! That is some good stuff there. I started Atomic Habits on January 31, 2021. After a few chapters, I put it down and didn’t pick it back up until January. I ended up listening to it and I am so glad I did!
I saw A Week in Winter by Maeve Binchy on BookBub and was thrilled. I thought I’d read everything Maeve had written, but somehow I missed this one. It was perfect for the end of January!
Favorite 2: SUNSHINE!! I don’t know if you’ve noticed but the sun is setting later and I am loving it! I usually walk for the first part of Luke’s soccer practice each week and this week I started with my sunglasses!!
Favorite 3: TEA!! I was going through our pantry and found a box of tea in the back. I have a little cold and this tea is so delicious all day long. It’s caffeine free so I can even drink it right before bed.
Favorite 4: OUTSIDE TIME!! Even though it has been chilly, I am working hard to get 23 minutes outside every day. Jeff and I went for a walk in the dark yesterday and it was a great way to end the day.
Favorite 5: PRODUCTIVITY! I am a big list maker, especially to do lists. I don’t always complete my list every day, but the days that I do make me so happy! My day in the library has a tendency to getaway from me because I get pulled in so many directions around the school. I love that about my job, but sometimes I need a day where I cross off everything on my list.

This weekend is Declare It Day. It’s an annual event to set goals and intentions for the next year. I am looking forward to it! Saturday is going to be FREEZING and perfect for reading under a blanket. Sunday should be much warmer and I hope to get outside for a nice long walk or run. Have a great weekend full of sunshine and books!

I have noticed that it’s been lighter later and I am loving it! I have that lemon tea in my cabinet right now.
I’ve noticed it staying lighter longer too! It will be spring before we know it.
We’ve had a few sunny days here in MI and it is so wonderful. I always try to get outside at least for a little bit to soak in the sun when it makes an appearance in the winter. And I love lists.
