Happy Wednesday! Happy February! Congratulations friends!! We made it through January! It can feel like such a long month and these memes nailed it. šŸ˜‚

But now it’s February! Woohoo! I’m joining Jennifer for the Currently linkup where we share five things we are currently doing. Let’s get to it!

I am loving…

A little time at home on the weekends. Last weekend, we didn’t have much to do and were all home together for most of the time. It was great! I got a bunch done and we spent some time watching Royal Rumble together. There were a lot of laughs during that hour and a half.

I am also loving our dinners this week! Last Monday I asked for some help and you guys came through for me! I inventoried our freezers and used your ideas to make new dinner ideas with the things I already had. Win win!

I am feeling…

so proud of my kids! We got a wonderful email from one of Luke’s teachers telling us how hard he’s been working. She can see the results of that in his class work, assessments, and classroom conversations in class. Way to go buddy! We got a postcard from one of Jack’s teachers telling us how much effort he’s putting forth in ELA. ELA isn’t his favorite subject and I am so proud that he’s putting in the work! Fantastic buddy! We are halfway through the school year and ready for a great second half!!

I am posting…

A little more than usual. One of my January goals was to work ahead on my posts so I wasn’t scrambling each evening tog eat something written. It’s been great because I am using my down time to get ahead and I don’t feel rushed. There was a little exception last Friday, but that’s ok.

I am receiving…

very few packages! After the Christmas shopping rush and some after Christmas sales, I’m missing my UPS, FedEx, Amazon, and USPS drivers. I hope they’re enjoying a little down time and know that I’m thinking about them! I still giggle thinking about the package we got that said ā€œSarahā€ on it and the Amazon warehouse employees saying ā€œWho’s going to Sarah’s?ā€ šŸ˜‚

I am seeing…

All the doctors! In the past two weeks, we’ve been to the orthodontist twice, the pediatrician, had a chat with my primary care physician, and the dermatologist twice. I am heading to the podiatrist today, taking the kids to the dentist tomorrow, and I go to the dentist at the end of the month. Since I crossed into my 40s I am really working hard to take care of myself and keep up with all of the regular appointments. As a sun lover, and a former tanning bed lover, I am so diligent about getting to the dermatologist every year to make sure everything is ok. It’s so quick and easy and I highly recommend going! I don’t think I’ll ever stop loving outside and feeling the warm sunshine on my cheeks, so I’m doing my best to make sure everything is ok. About 6 months from now, I’ll be on my second doctor circuit with my primary care physician, my gynecologist, dentist, and mammogram. Ladies, and gentle mean if you are reading, we need to take care of ourselves!!

I am also seeing the light! I saw this graphic online this week and loved it. That extra daylight in the evenings is so wonderful!

That’s what is currently happening around here. I’ll be back tomorrow with Fashion Files so be sure to check back. Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

Thanks for sharing your meal plan. I always love inspiration! And, I’m also an advocate for checkups. I had a mammogram & gyno appt. at the beginning of the month. I’m going to my yearly dermatologist appointment this month. I am also a sun lover and former tanning bed lover. I would tell anyone. Do not get in the tanning bed like I did. Have a great day!

January was a rough month and the longest one of the year! I have only had one Amazon order in 2023, so I have had the same thoughts of missing the deliveries. That is funny about your name being on a delivery box!

Way to go for your sons doing such a good job in school! Great reminders about getting all the doctor visits scheduled. Our insurance started covering three dental cleanings every year, and it has made such a difference for me! Have a wonderful Wednesday.

That is a huge round of doctor’s appointments but I tend to try and get them all over with around the same times too. I noticed it was still light out last night as I walked into the kitchen to make dinner and that made me so happy!

Awe! That’s the best feeling hearing good things about your kids. I agree about taking care of yourself. I keep calendar reminders to get all those important appointments in. I do need to make a derm appt though!

Way to go to your boys! That’s amazing work and it’s always a boost to hear nice things about our kids, right? Also, Holly shared your ‘darkest time’ meme and it gave me life so thanks for posting it. And you are inspiring me to make appointments. I’ve been putting my health on the back burner and I NEED to stop doing that.
