Friday Favorites – 11/21/25

Happy Friday! I am so happy to see this Friday! It is our last Friday of school in November and there are two and a half days standing between me and a few days off for Thanksgiving! Here are my favorites from the week!

Linking up with Erika and Andrea

Favorite 1: CLOTHES!! I ordered a few things from Walmart lately and I am loving them! They are going in and out of stock so keep checking back. I shared my cardigan and shirt combo on Monday. The cardigan has a matching skirt. I love it together and apart. The blouse is also from Walmart and I cut the sleeve/ruffles off.

The black skirt is so comfy. The drawstring is functional and it has an elastic waist in the back. I paired it with an old Gap cardigan and with a turtleneck and cardigan. I love it both ways!

Favorite 2: SWIM! After a few months with no swim meets, we are back at it full time! Luke had his first high school swim meet yesterday. It was so fun!

Luke is in the lane second from the bottom and swimming fast!
All four grandparents were there to cheer Luke on!
Way to go Luke!

Jack swam last Saturday and Sunday at a meet at the same pool where Luke had his high school meet. I am putting my time in on those bleachers!

Both boys swam at a meet the weekend before. If you are counting, that is 5 swim meet sessions in 13 days after 3 months of no swim meets. I am back, baby! I get to cheer during at least 5 swim meet sessions in December, too!

Favorite 3: SOCCER! Luke played in a soccer tournament last weekend and it was so fun, too. It wasn’t as cold as I was prepared for it to be and he played really well.

Favorite 4: BOOKS! How could we have a Friday Favorites without books? We can’t! I am reading a great Christmas book right now that takes place in Baltimore! I love reading about places I’ve know. I finished The Weekend Crashers and loved it. It would be a great choice if you aren’t quite ready for holiday books yet. If you are ready, don’t forget to checkout my 2025 Christmas books list! While we are talking about books and swim meets, I finally updated my 2025 Books page at the swim meet last weekend. All of the books I’ve read this year are listed with their sunshine rating.

Favorite 5: BREAKFAST!! I had an early appointment on Thursday morning near Jeff’s school. I dashed through Trader Joe’s afterwards and when I was checking out, Jeff asked if I wanted to meet him at Lenny’s. We LOVE Lenny’s for breakfast so I immediately said yes. I had a delicious bacon, egg, and cheese bagel and Jeff had a yummy western omlette. We shared some homefries. It was an unexpected favorite! No pictures, but imagine two happy people eating a yummy breakfast together. 😍

Favorite 6: HALLMARK!! Hallmark Christmas movies have been on our tv quite a bit lately. I’m not actively watching, but I do love them as background noise and entertainment! Hallmark Christmas movies are so easy they are an annual favorite!

I am looking forward to our weekend! I have some plans with girlfriends on Saturday morning. I am hoping to start testing outside lights on Saturday afternoon and get them going up. Sunday looks beautiful and I’m hoping to do the rest of the outside decorating. We are getting together with Jeff’s family on Sunday afternoon for a pre-Thanksgiving family time. Have a great weekend full of sunshine and books!

Lots of wonderful favorites this week! Your skirt is adorable. I haven’t picked up any holiday books yet but I have a stack of “others” from the library I am trying to make my way through first.

What a fun week! I loved your Christmas book list and need to pull some books from it today after work. I’m also looking forward to today- we get the week off for Thanksgiving break, and I couldn’t be more excited! I’m so ready for a break from the students, as much as I love them. I think they’re ready to get a break from us as well. I love your recent clothing purchases! Happy Friday, my friend!
