Happy Tuesday! Have you heard of this practice? Barbara Brown Taylor shared this in her memoir (which I have not read) but I heard about it from Kendra, the Lazy Genius. It is an opportunity to list things that are bringing you joy or hope instead of focusing on what is taking you down. I like to focus on the positive so this feels like a good fit!

☀️Walmart+ With two swim meet weekends in a row and busy evenings, Walmart+ grocery delivery is saving my life. I signed up for one month for $1 and have had groceries and other items delivered a few times. I had no dinner plan and realized we were out of milk as I went to the swim meet on Sunday afternoon and groceries were on my front porch at 7:28 pm. We are ready for the week! I tried it last year around this time and decided it wasn’t a good fit for us then, but it’s saving my life this year.

☀️The Library I have been using my library a lot lately. I love that I can put a hold on a book and select to pick it up at the drive thru or walk in the branch. The library is saving me time and money – double win! Our library also brings great authors through town. I love meeting and re-meeting authors!

☀️App Limits I set app limits on my phone for social media apps and chrome. It is keeping me from getting sucked in to too much scrolling. I am reading more and finding more time to do other things I want to do.
☀️No Tech Hobbies Since I am not scrolling as much, I am doing more word searches. I love them and they make my brain feel better. I also picked my knitting up again. I finished one scarf and started working on another unfinished project. My scarves aren’t perfect but it is relaxing and productive.

☀️The Zaa Our shower doesn’t have a drain cover that can catch hair and I tend to shed a lot in the shower. I also hate cleaning out the drain. This little piece of silicone covers our drain and catches all the hair so we don’t have clogs anymore. It helps me avoid that dreaded chore!
☀️Three Drivers Jack got his license about a month ago. This gave me an hour a day back and it is wonderful. Am I worrying more? Yes! Am getting more done? Also yes! I love that Jack can drive himself home from practice while I am getting dinner ready. On late practice nights, he can drive himself home and I can be in my pjs waiting for him with a smile.

What’s saving your life right now? This is a busy season and focusing on those things saving our lives can be so good. Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

I couldn’t manage without my grocery deliveries. I get one once a week for all the big stuff and if I’ve forgotten anything can use local shops.
I need to use technology less and find some hobbies away from my laptop
Oh yes, I couldn’t imagine life without my library! It saves me so much time and money.
Love this list! Your library sounds incredible with the drive thru and visiting authors. Ours don’t offer anything like that!
We have an incredible library system in our county and I am so grateful for them!
I love these types of posts! This was fun to read. Walmart + is also saving my life right now since I’ve gone to work full time again.
I usually do grocery pickup from Walmart, but this month called for delivery. It’s crazy how much more convenient it is.
