Happy Monday! I’m here with Holly sharing some fun from our weekend. I hope you’ll link up with us for Hello Monday! Let’s get to it!

First of all, I want to say a very happy birthday to my sister and my brother-in-law! They share a birthday and it was Saturday. Happy birthday guys!! Also, how adorable is my sweet niece??? This picture is from last summer, but one year later she’s cuter and even more fun!

Since it is the week between our birthdays, I have to ask, “Annie how old are you?” If she was co-blogging with me, she would say “42. How old are you Sarah?” I would answer “42!!” because this is our week! For one week each year we are the same age.

We had the most low key weekend that we’ve had in a while and it was great! On Friday, both boys went to swim practice and Luke went to a soccer program that teams up athletes with disabilities and their non-disabled peers. Luke always has so much fun playing and making friends! When we got home, I had a glass of wine and was in my pjs by 8:07 pm.
On Saturday, we all slept in a bit and had to rush a little to get to swim team. Our swim team has 3 locations and at the beginning of each swim season we all get together. They hand out new caps, shirts, and you can purchase any team gear. In the 7 years my boys have been on this team, this was the first year we’ve actually gone. Luke was excited to see his buddy Izzy! She swims at our location, but they are always excited to see each other.

Jack’s group had a meeting and swim practice, so Luke and I read outside in the beautiful sunshine.

We came home for a while and went to Jeff’s parents for dinner. His aunt and uncle were in town so it was nice to see them. It was another early night for pjs, but we stayed up watching college football. Way to go JMU Dukes and Colorado! *We didn’t stay up for the Colorado game, but saw that they won in the morning.*

We had a great Sunday! It was a completely blank square on the calendar! Jeff and I went for a walk before it rained. We did a ton of laundry and got things done around the house. Football was on all day and the kids got out to play when it wasn’t raining. After sleeping in the guest room all week, I decided it was time to clear some stuff out. Here’s the first round to be donated or consigned. I started to feel that “big black trash bag energy” that The Lazy Genius talks about and stopped myself here. I am feeling like it is time to purge big time, but I am trying to go slowly so the stuff and the getting rid of the stuff don’t get too overwhelming.

I hope you had a great weekend! I feel like I used our weekend to get prepared for the week and it will hopefully go pretty smoothly! Here’s hoping yours does, too! Be sure to link up with Holly and me below if you blogged and check out some of the other bloggers. We have some pretty amazing friends linking up with us each week. Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

Those are a lot of smiles! Have a beautiful week!
I love reading about your weekends. Your niece is very cute! Thanks for the link-up
Sometimes it’s just necessary to make sure the week is smoother by working on the weekend! I hope yours is great! I’m getting outside before and after school for the mental health again!
Yay for a blank square on Sunday. We pretty much had the same and it was very much needed. Your sister looks so much like your mom. So fun that you get a week of being the same age 😆 I hope you all have a smooth week.
Your weekend sounds dreamy and productive! Love it 🙂
i love that your son also has a kindle and reads with you.
Great post – your niece is adorable! We’re on a declutter push too. Too much stuff, time to move it out.
Yay for having a whole weekend day with nothing on the calendar! That’s a wonderful feeling.
