Happy Friday! Oh I am so glad it’s Friday!! This week has been another good one, but there have been a bunch of extras thrown in. I have some favorites so let’s get to it.

Favorite 1: LUKE!! We have a program called Sources of Strength in our middle and high schools. The program has staff and peer leaders. This is Luke’s second year as a peer leader and he loves it! They got new peer leader shirts for the year and Luke’s is a little big, but he’s still proud to wear it.

Luke was so excited to see his buddy Izzy! I love their friendship and that they keep it going even when they don’t see each other all the time.

Favorite 2: JACK!! Jack had another water polo match this week and did a great job. His defense was fantastic and he got a few shots off. High school work is ramping up for Jack but he’s doing a great job managing his time with practices (water polo and swim team), relaxing, and friends. I’m proud of him!

Favorite 3: BIG INITIALS! My sister and I have been talking about the big monogram on Barrington bags for a while. We weren’t sure if it would be fabulous or a bit much. We both bit the bullet and got one recently. Great news – the big initials are fabulous!!

Favorite 4: MAIL!! I love when I get this package in the mail!!

It means my Lilly sale items are here. I only ordered three things this time and I love them all!

Favorite 5: WALKS!! This week has been a little crazy and I only got two walks in. I walked on Monday at Luke’s soccer practice and Thursday during Luke’s swim practice. The sunshine was warm and bright on Thursday and I was loving it!

Along with my walks, I am still working out in the morning. Though I do not want to get up at 5:15 each morning, I am always so glad I did it.
Favorite 6: PJS!! I am a pjs girl. I try to get in my pjs as soon as possible. It finally worked out for me to be in my pjs by 7 pm on Thursday. I had to pick Luke up from practice in my pjs, but it was worth the chance that I’d run into someone I know.

Favorite 7: BOOKS! I read a great book to one of my classes this week. It is Ocean, and part of the Our Universe series. We all loved it!

I finished The True Love Experiment this week. It was fun to follow Fizzy, from The Soulmate Equation, in a bachelor type reality show. I always love when authors write books about secondary characters from their other books. This book was similar to Christina Lauren’s other books and perfect to read in this busy week.

I just started The Soulmate by Sally Hepworth. I love her books and am hoping that it’s not too suspenseful. I read somewhere that she is coming to America soon. She’s from Australia. I think I am going to try to contact her to see if I can convince her to come to my amazing bookstore on a trip soon!! Fingers crossed.

Favorite 8: NAIL POLISH!! I finally painted my nails this week and that is a a definite favorite! I used my very favorite polish, Pink Sands from Olive and June. It makes me feel more like me when my nails are polished. Not to mention, they look so much better under the document camera when I am teaching.

Hello Monday
Fashion Files – late Thursday afternoon
We have a good weekend planned. Saturday is my birthday. It’s the first day of fall and supposed to rain all day. I think this is purposeful from nature because celebrating my birthday softens the blow of my favorite season (summer) ending. One of my friends is having some people over to celebrate her birthday on Saturday and I am going to join them in the afternoon. Then we are going to one of my favorite restaurants in town for dinner. We have a pool board meeting on Sunday and Luke has a soccer game. I am hoping to read a bit and get as much ready for the week as I can on Sunday. Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

That does sound like a busy weekend! Happy birthday. I love your nails and I too can’t wait to get into my pj’s each evening either. It’s great that both your boys are doing so well.
Love your Lilly treats! Perfect! What a great week- hope the weekend is amazing too!
Happy birthday! I don’t know if I would be happy to know that there is rain in the forecast on my birthday, but I’m glad it works for you 🙂
I’ve had that Sally Hepworth book on my bookshelf for most of the year… I need to crack it open!
Great nail polish… I have not tried Olive and June yet but hear good things about it.
Sounds like your kids are busy and happy…the best formula for a great life 🙂
Great bags, those big initials really pop! Great Lilly goodies. I love your nails, I recently broke one and had them all filed down shorter than I usually wear them so I had to opt for a paler polish. Mine is Ballet Slippers by Essie and I love the pale pinkness of it, almost a faux French manicure. Have a great weekend and Happy Birthday!
We have sources of strength at my school too! So cool. I love your new Barrington bag. Every time you post about them, I remind myself I need a new one. I pick my kids up while in my pjs all the time now haha
Happy birthday! I hope you have a great day!
