Happy Thursday! It’s the last Thursday of the month so I am linking up with Holly and Patty to answer 10 fun seasonal questions. I love thinking about my answers and seeing everyone else’s answers, too!

In January, we talked about beating the winter blues.

In February, we talked about warm weather destinations.

In March, we talked about spring fashion.

This month we are talking all about spring.

1. Favorite spring fashion pieces?
Anything Lilly is perfect, of course! I also love days when it is warm enough for shorts, but you need a long sleeve T-shirt with it. That is the best!

I’ve shared this dress a few times, but I love it that much. This dress will be a spring, summer, and fall staple in my wardrobe. It’s a tennis dress, but I love it for school and bopping around town. It has a great shelf bra with padding/lining and is better without a bra! You can’t beat that!

2. Favorite spring scent?
I love peonies. I love the smell of fresh spring air! I also start burning citrus candles in the spring. I love the scent of Trader Joe’s grapefruit body butter.

3. Go to spring meals?
I love chicken and veggies all year long. We start grilling more often in the spring and I love that. Other than that, our menu doesn’t change much for spring. We do eat a lot more deviled eggs in the weeks after Easter because we have all those hard boiled eggs to use.
4. Share a spring dessert recipe.
I don’t have a spring dessert, but we do usually get ice cream the first time the ice cream truck comes through the neighborhood. We make a visit to Rita’s Italian Ice in the spring, too.
5. Share a few spring traditions.
We celebrate Easter, so the boys always do an egg hunt.

Jack and Luke both have birthdays in the spring, so birthday traditions are big in spring – birthday door balloons, singing with our cake plate, marking heights on the wall, etc.

We aren’t going this year, but we’ve been to the Preakness horse race quite a few times. It’s always so fun!

6. Best spring cleaning hack?
Hire someone to do it!
7. Will you plant a garden this year?
For the first time in as long as I can remember, we aren’t planting a garden. I am doing a CSA again this year and we got a bunch of veggies from that without the weeding or maintenance.
8. Spring Rain… love or hate?
I always choose sunshine, but a few spring rainy days are not too bad. I especially appreciate them when a practice gets cancelled and we get a surprise break one evening.
Last night we had two good rain showers, but lacrosse didn’t get cancelled. We were treated to two different rainbows, one after each shower.
9. Favorite spring flower?
I love peonies, but Jeff’s super allergic to them. We didn’t realize it until our wedding day when all the girls and I had big bouquets and he was sneezing. I also love tulips and daffodils. I love the blooms on my forsythia and flowering cherry trees.

10. Any spring travel this year?
You bet! We are going to New York City to see Billy Joel next month and I am so excited!

Between swim meets, lacrosse games, soccer games, and golf tournaments there isn’t much time to travel right now, and that is ok.
I am looking forward to reading other’s answers to these ten fun questions. Be sure to checkout the other Monthly Musings posts! I’ll be back tomorrow with my favorites from the week. Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

Love all of your Lilly and those tulips are to die for!
Love your answer to question number 6!!! I laughed out loud when I read it! 😅
I need to look into a CSA near us; we love fresh veggies but I can not get anything to grow. I hope you have the best time in NYC!
I love the Preakness pic! That’s so interesting about the peonies. They are one of my favorites. Tulips are pretty too!
Good heavens your boys are so adorable in their Easter outfits. Thank you for always joining us for Monthly Musings.
