Happy Friday! We had a great week and I have a bunch of favorites!

Favorite 1: LUKE! Luke turned 11 this week and had a great day! I posted all about it on Tuesday. As I was going through some birthday pictures, I found some old ones and added them to the post. You should go back and check it out.

He had a great day and here are some fun pictures from his day. I always hang birthday balloons on their door so they wake up to some fun. That banner is from Luke’s first birthday party. I make a card with the birthday boy’s new age on it every year.

Favorite 2: GRANDPARENTS!! I do not take for granted that our parents live so close to us. I always take pictures with the boys on their birthdays. Jack’s are a few days late, but they still work. It’s so fun to see how they’ve grown!

Favorite 3: JACK!! Jack is getting pretty close to be taller than Grandma Karen! I love all the ways that I am noticing him growing up lately. He’s literally getting taller, but he also has more moments where he’s thinking about others and showing us he’s more mature. It’s great, but sometimes I want him to SLOW DOWN!! 13 came fast and I know that time is only going to go faster.

Favorite 4: SPRING!! Our weather is trying to get warmer. The trees are blossoming and so are the daffodils and tulips. I’m still doing my best to encourage it with bright colors and fun jewelry!

Favorite 5: FACETIME!! My sweet niece is 16 months old and loves to FaceTime. My sister called for Luke’s birthday and we all chatted for a while. Maggie takes my sister’s phone and walks around while we’re talking and I do miss that fun stage! I feels like it was yesterday but here I am with a 13 and 11 year old.

Favorite 6: PAINT!! We’ve been talking about painting our office for a while. Jeff said he’d do it over spring break and I love it! I painted the bottom white last year and the green is perfect with it! We are planning to paint the library next. It will be the same bright green. The green brightens everything up in that room and I can’t wait to see it in the library.

Favorite 8: LAST CHANCE!! I have been pretty ruthless in my closet. If there is something I haven’t worn in a while (years), I give it a last chance try on or wear. These are shoes from the Lilly for Target collaboration. The gold is a little brassier than I’d like but they are very comfortable and so fun and springy!

Happy Birthday Luke – updated with adorable baby Luke pictures 😍

We have a pretty normal weekend coming up. Lacrosse, golf, and soccer for the boys and cheering them on for the parents. I will probably inventory our freezers because we are getting our portion of a cow. That always leads to cleaning out and rearranging the freezer. The weather looks GORGEOUS so I am planning on spending as much time as outside as possible. Have a great weekend full of sunshine and books!
