Hello Monday – 4/25/22

Happy Monday! I’m here with Holly sharing some fun from our weekend. I hope you’ll link up with us for Hello Monday!

We had a great weekend! It was pretty busy, but productive. On Saturday morning, Jack and I went out to my high school friend’s farm. We buy a portion of a cow from them every spring. It’s nice to catch up and see the new calves. These sweet twins in the front were only 8 days old and the calf behind them was 4 days old!

After unloading all the beef, we headed to the golf course. We are trying to get Jack to the golf course as often as possible this spring. He loves it so much! I’m getting better thanks to Jack’s advice on the driving range.

I got a little reading in while Jack was on the putting green. I started a new book and it is exactly what I need to read right now. Fun and light and I’m having trouble putting it down.

Jeff and Luke were at Luke’s lacrosse game. Luke played well and scored a goal! He loves doing the face offs and is getting pretty good at them!

The weather was GORGEOUS on Saturday afternoon and we spent a bunch of time outside! The kids played all over the neighborhood and Jeff and I spent some time reading on the deck.

Luke even did homework outside!

On Sunday, I got up and headed to Trader Joe’s. I love my weekend routine going to Trader Joe’s. I get up and there when it opens (8 am) shop with the no nonsense, don’t waste any time shoppers and then pop into Lenny’s, a local deli, for a bacon, egg, and cheese bagel to eat on the way home. I listen to podcasts the whole time and come home ready for the day. It’s so lovely. This week, a few girlfriends were texting morning selfies to each other so I had to scoot over to the side and take a quick one. I didn’t want to be the one that holds up the traffic in a TJ’s aisle.

We hung a few pictures on Sunday morning. jeff and I hung our diplomas in the office and moved the S & J into the dining room. The S & J were hanging on the back of our chairs at our wedding reception. My mom dried them and found shadow boxes so we could hang them in our house. I just love them!

I spent a TON of time on the deck on Sunday, too. The weather was a 10! Warm, sunny, no clouds, and a little breeze. We also hung this kissed by the sun sign that I got at our local farm last summer. It looks great with the umbrella!

Jack has always loved to swing! When build our addition, we got rid of the swing set. He got this one for Christmas and will go swing when he’s bored or needs to chill for a bit. I caught him dreaming of a tropical vacation listening to Kokomo on Sunday.

Jeff and Jack headed to the golf course for a tournament. Jack is playing really well. The course he played on Sunday is one he’s played a few times and he’s consistently dropping strokes. Jeff gave us a plan for our practice at the course this week – putt, putt, putt.

Luke and I headed to a soccer game. The game got pretty physical and Luke played so well. I love that he can play tough, but within the rules of the game. He had so much fun!

On Sundays, Jeff and Jack grab dinner on the way home from golf so Luke and I usually go out, too. This week we picked Panera. I signed up for their new free drink a day promotion. It’s a pretty great deal, as long as you remember to cancel at the end. I tried the new strawberry charged lemonade. I loved Starbucks Very Berry Hibiscus refresher and it’s not available anymore. This was a pretty good alternative to try occasionally, especially since it will be free for a few months!

Luke and I were boat sinkers! 😂 My sister and I call people who all sit on the same tide of the table boat sinkers because they’d sink a canoe if they sat like that. 😂
