Happy Monday! I’m here with Holly sharing some fun from our weekend. Today is the last of our four days off that I am refusing to call spring break 😉 and the weather looks like it will be great for an inside, productive day. I hope you’ll link up with us for Hello Monday!

I started our long weekend with a giant to do list. Miraculously, we did not have any games or matches this weekend and I was ready to take advantage of it. The weather was absolutely gorgeous on Friday and Saturday. I spent a lot of time at our deck table working on a grad class and pool work.

One of my Declare It Day goals was to make time for my friends and Jeff. I’m still working on my April Jeff time, but I got two girlfriends without kids time. Jamie and I went for a great walk on Friday afternoon in our neighborhood. It was so lovely!! Jodi and I went for a walk on Saturday afternoon at a local park and it was so lovely! This sunshine and girlfriend time feeds my soul! I was having so much fun with Jamie and Jodi that I forgot to take any pictures. Oops!
Jack wanted to play golf on his day off so he texted my dad Thursday night and asked if he wanted to play. Of course Pop wanted to and Jeff joined them. They played a new to Jack course and had a great time.

We had dinner with friends on Friday night. Our schedules have been such a zoo and our friends’ schedules have too. We haven’t had a patio happy hour in FOREVER but Friday was perfect for it. We had brick oven pizza and lots of laughs.

We dyed Easter eggs on Saturday morning. It was probably the quickest egg dying we’ve ever done. Colors were mixed, we didn’t have any true yellow 2 minutes into dying eggs, and there were three different egg dye kits. I also added some glitter because it makes me so happy!

Jeff and Luke went for a hike on Saturday. Luke loves to spend time on and off a trail and the weather was spectacular for it!

We went out to dinner on Saturday evening before heading to bed early to be ready for the Easter Bunny.
We joined my parents for church on Sunday and went back to their house for a delicious breakfast.

We went to Jeff’s sister, Katie’s, house for Easter dinner. The kids did an Easter egg hunt and had fun. It was great to be together.

Today is supposed to be a rainy day and I have that list to tackle.

I may even tape off our office so Jeff can paint it this week. It should be quick because we are only paining above the chair rail. Tomorrow is Luke’s birthday so I’ll be doing some birthday prep, too. Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

Enjoy a Monday off! Didn’t you have a week for spring break? I hope they don’t think 4 days is enough! I am gonna try to do more friend walking dates instead of friend drinking dates! Ha!
Yes! Friday/Monday off is our “spring break”. With the exception of 1 or 2 years, it’s all we’ve ever had for spring break since I started school in my county in the mid 80s. Most years it’s enough to make it 40 more days. This year, it’s going to be tough.
What a wonderful weekend! The weather looks like perfection. I love your family Easter photos. Enjoy today!
I LOVE your Easter outfits- so bright, colorful and cheerful and your eggs came out great too- hope it was wonderful. Enjoy your days off!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful family.
By next Easter you’re going to have to reconfigure your family phots or else we won’t be able to see you anymore! Our family photos look so funny now as our oldest 2 are taller than both me and my husband!
