Happy Friday! This has been a wacky and super busy week. I have some favorites to share, so let’s get to it!

Favorite 1: OLYMPICS!!! It is no surprise that I love the Olympics! I love everything about them – the athleticism, the Olympic spirit, the world coming together, the medal ceremonies, the underdogs, the legends – and I am having so much fun watching them morning, noon, and night. I often tear up during the national anthem at medal ceremonies and I’ve shed some tears watching some USA favorites. Hello Shaun White! But, I think I should’ve trained a little better for them. These late nights are getting really tough! I don’t usually stay up past 10 o’clock and I’ve seen 11:30 and midnight almost every night over the last two weeks. I will be so sad on Monday when there is nothing to watch, but I am going to embrace that 9:15 bedtime!

I’ve been wearing all of my Olympics gear and this fun necklace from Cora’s Den.

Favorite 2: LUKE!! Luke is on a First Lego League robotics team this year. They had their county competition on Sunday and made it to the state competition! His team has worked so hard and learned so much together and I am so proud of them!!

Luke played in his indoor soccer game this week and did a great job! He played so tough and it is really fun to watch his team. They have grown a ton this year!

Favorite 3: JACK!! Jack had a night without practices this week. Jack LOVES to play games so I told him to pick one. He picked Guess Who and we had a blast! After 7 rounds of Guess Who, we had a rap-off in the kitchen and I think I surprised him a little bit.

Favorite 4: SNOW DAY!! We had a surprise snow day on Monday! It will be our last official snow day for the year, as our county moved to have virtual days on all snow days moving forward. I soaked it up watching the Olympics and hanging with the kids.

Declare It Day!
A Day in the Life
This post is short and sweet because I have Olympics to watch! The kids have a bunch of fun on tap for the weekend – basketball, snowboarding, soccer – and Jeff and I are looking forward to cheering them on. I’m hoping to get some good reading in. I’m off on Monday for President’s Day, but I’ll be here for Hello Monday. I hope you’ll join me. Have a great weekend full of sunshine and books!

Even though all my boys are all out of the house, I still love a good snow day, LOL! One of my sons is still crazy about Legos as an adult, he has a Lego room in his house. Happy weekend love!
When we built the addition on our house, we shifted the rooms on our first floor around. We have a room that I call the library but Luke calls the Lego room. We’re agreeing to disagree because we both love what we do in the library/Lego room. 😊
What a fun and productive week! Wish I were more into the Olympics but even the figure skating disappointed me this year- sigh- have a great weekend!
Robotics team sounds so fun 🙂 I love guess who too! I’m loving the Olympics as well which I’m up too late as well. I hope you all have a great weekend
What fun! Congrats on your son and his team making it to the state competition! We tried to join a homeschool Lego Robotics team but it never got off the ground. It sounded so neat though.
