Hello Monday – 8/18/25

Happy Monday! I’m starting the week with Holly and all of you! I hope you’ll link up with us for Hello Monday!

We had a great weekend! On Friday evening, Jeff and I went to adult night at the pool. We were only planning on going for a little while but ended up having so much fun that we stayed until 10 pm! It was still hot and humid, but it was bearable. I didn’t take any pictures, oops!

I was up and moving early on Saturday morning because I realized we haven’t gotten any school supplies yet! EEK! I usually get them on August 1st and then hide them until school starts. I was able to get everything we needed and I used the 20% off for teachers coupon at Target. Win-win!

I made a quick return on the way home. I ordered Luke’s graphing calculater from Amazon and this is what we got.

Definitely not a graphing calculator! Jeff went to work for a bit and I walked into the boys eating breakfast. They decided to make protein pancakes and ended up trying to make the biggest pancakes possible. Ha!

Jack and I headed to the pool for lap swim. It was crowded and we had to share lanes! It makes me so happy to see so many people swimming! After we finished, I took Jack home and brought Luke back to the pool for the day. Jack has been working A TON and was ready for a home day. I spent the day just like this:

I finished one book and started another. I was at the pool from 10 am until about 6 pm. It was glorious! Jeff left for a bit to cut the grass and then came back. When I left, I took Jack to the golf course and went for a weighted vest walk. I love that thing! Did you see the Holderness Family’s weighted vest song video? It’s hilarious!!

We watched Austin Powers in Goldmember on Saturday night and then we all headed to bed because Sunday was going to be a long day. The PGA was in town and we were going. Jack went on Thursday but the rest of us couldn’t make it. Jack’s friend came with us and the five of us had a great day. According to my watch I walked over 16,000 steps, over 7 miles, and climbed the equvalent of 34 flights of stairs. Caves Valley is a hilly course and we traversed the hills until a little before 3. Then Jeff and I camped out on the 18th green so we could be there for the finish. The boys came and went for a while until it started getting crowded. It was hot and the shade didn’t come to our seats until 4:30, but when that shade came it was much better.

The BMW was at Caves Valley in 2021. Unfortunately we couldn’t get a reenactment of these.

Here’s another comparison from 2021. Those boys sure got taller in these four year!

It really was a great day! I love golf tournaments and it’s a good thing because I am heading to another one on Tuesday. I get to watch my favorite golfer then! This is my last week before teachers officially report back, but I am going in a few days this week to get my extra days started and finished. Don’t forget to link up with us below if you blogged today! Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

What an incredible summer weekend filled with all of your favorite things- love how much outdoor time you had and exercise of course. The PGA tournament looks like a blast and your Lilly was just perfect for the event

I love a golf tournament too. Your dress is so cute and looks like it would be cooling on such a hot day. We were in the water all weekend and are still enjoying summer. Enjoy this last week before school kicks back in. I feel like the summer flew by this year!

The evening at the pool sounds like great fun and good on you using your teachers coupon to get the school supplies.
Watching the golf on Sunday sounds like such a great day out, well done with all of the steps.

That’s so strange that you ordered the calculator and got a glue stick!!! How funny! I was listening to a youtuber I like talking about some sort of scam when people send stuff to your house so they can write reviews on it lol. It’s so strange sometimes! Sounds like you are all soaking up the last of summer! I enjoyed hearing about your weekend, and thanks for hosting today!
