Happy Friday! I am calling this lucky number 13 because it is the last day of school! Our students have a half day and teachers work the full day. I have to go back next week for a few hours but they just feel different. I have a bunch of favorites from the week, so let’s get to it!

Favorite 1: PROMOTION CEREMONY! Even though today is the last day of school, Luke had his 8th grade promotion ceremony yesterday. He worked hard the whole way through middle school and we are so proud of him! He earned the presidential award for academics and an award for having completed the service hours for high school graduation. I can’t believe those three years are over, but he’s going to rock high school!

Luke’s 8th grade dance was last Friday so it’s still a favorite today! He had a blast with his buds!

Favorite 2: VACUUMING! Jeff and I met in a lifeguarding class so it only felt fitting to see Jack learning how to vacuum the pool. He got his pool operator’s license early this year, so he knows how to do the chemicals, vacuum, and take care of other pool operaty things.

Favorite 3: LILLY! Let’s be honest Lilly is always a favorite. ALWAYS! This week I was loving my Lilly Luxletic skorts and dresses. My media center has been feeling tropical lately so I’ve been dressing pretty cool.

Favorite 4: BOOKS! Books are always a favorite, too. I read this book to my last class of the year. It is funny and gives a great perspective on a bad day. I read it with first and second graders this month and they all loved it! The adults in the room thought it was pretty great, too!

Favorite 5: SUNSHINE! The weather this week has been incredible. It truly felt like summer. We’ve had hot sunshine every single day. I have enjoyed being at the pool for swim team practice each evening soaking up a little extra vitamin D. I am hoping for a sunny weekend, but it’s not looking so good.

Let’s Look – Travel Bucket List

We move on to our summer schedule next week with swim team practice in the morning and free afternoons. I have a few more hours to work but I am going to try to start early and work around our pool times. I should be finished Tuesday afternoon if all goes as plans. We have our first swim meet on Saturday and are celebrating our dads throughout the weekend. Have a great weekend full of sunshine and books!
