Happy Monday! I’m here with Holly sharing some fun from our weekend. I hope you’ll link up with us for Hello Monday!

Before I share our weekend, I want to wish my mother-in-law a very happy birthday! We celebrated last night and it was great to have everyone together.
We had a great weekend! On Friday, we were up and moving a little later than usual. Jack had a few buds spend the night and after feeding four teenage boys 34 protein pancakes, 2 pounds of bacon, and half a watermelon, we headed to the pool. Swim team was doing a tie dye spirit event. We always tie dye pillow cases. My kids don’t wear the shirts they tie dye, but want to participate. The pillow cases are the perfect solution because we use them and it doesn’t really matter how they turn out.
Jeff and I had a board meeting and we stopped by a friend’s house for a quick happy hour afterwards. We headed to bed pretty early because Saturday was going to be a long day full of fun!

We were up early for our last dual swim meet of the season. In the final event of the day, Jack’s relay team qualified for the league championship meet! We are so excited for him! I didn’t take one single swimming picture (oopsie daisy!) but I did finally get our family picture in our team gear!

After the swim meet, Jeff and the boys headed home. Jack went to the golf course to practice for a bit. I went to a friend’s house to meet up with the girls I go to the beach with. We rented a 20 foot inflatable water slide for a few hours in the afternoon. It was SO MUCH FUN!!!!

I left after a few hours because we had our pool’s adult social event with food from around the world in honor of the Olympics. I didn’t take a single picture until we got home, but I didn’t want to let my Olympic outfit go undocumented! Jack guarded at the event, which was fun for him but quite a shift for me! Yikes, my kid is now old enough to work at adult night!

I was limping a little bit from all those rides down the slide on Saturday night, but I woke up on Sunday morning feeling every single second of my 43 years! I tried to stick my landings in the little pool at the end and now have bruises on the bottom of my feet. My shoulders, arms, and back are a little sore from bouncing around as I flew down, but it was all worth it!!
Jeff took Jack to the golf course and I took Luke to the track on Sunday morning. I walked gingerly while he ran. I ran a few errands around town and got some things done aroudn the house before my phone rang. It was my college roommate and we chatted for an hour while I rocked on our porch rocker. It was great afternoon!
We headed to my in-laws for an early dinner and birthday celebration on Sunday. It was great to have all of us there together.

The boys were exhausted and went to bed pretty early. I stayed up and watched the last three episodes in America’s Sweethearts on Netflix. It was great! I used to watch Making the Team and it was fun to revisit the DCCs.

Jack has another golf tournament today so Jeff’s going with him. Luke and I are headed to the track, swim practice, and an afternoon at the pool. I started The Beautiful People last night and am so excited to keep reading it today! Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

Oh, the tie-dye pillow cases is great idea! Sounds like a fun weekend.

Sounds like a lot of fun! I’m looking forward to the Olympics starting. I always enjoy watching, and I think we all need a break from the political exhaustion the whole country is feeling. Have a great day!
Such a fun and full summer weekend! That water slide looks so fun Sarah and I LOVE your halter bikini 🙂
Whew! I got tired just reading about your weekend. But it sounds like loads of fun!
That slide looks amazing! I had no idea such a thing could be rented.
Those water slides are definitely not for adults! We did one a couple weeks ago at a friend’s house and I regretted my two times down it. I’ve got to get my daughter out running again. Cross Country tryouts are the Monday after school starts and that’s not too long from now!
That sounds like such a fun weekend! I bet that water slide was so much fun and totally worth the sore muscles the next day.
That water slide looks like so much fun! Enjoy your reading today!
What a fun weekend! The slide looks so fun.
What a fun weekend! The slide sounds like so much fun and it’s so big, wow I don’t think I’ve seen one that size! Happy birthday to your mother-in-law.
