Hi! It’s the first Thursay of the month so I am sharing my goals for April. This month I am trying to be realistic but also push myself a little bit.

I was not so successful in February and didn’t even want to face the results until mid March. That meant I didn’t set March goals until the middle of the month. In the last two weeks of March, I was working on this:
Decrease screen time by 5% as measured by my phone on Sundays – so so close, I was down 7% one week and down 4% the second week.
Get 23 minutes outside every day – yes
Walk or run 5 days a week – no, only 4 times each week.
Spend some one on one time with Jeff both weeks – yes
I think I did pretty well on those goals. I gave myself some grace as I was setting them, but am moving in the right direction.

I am using April to gear up for the last few months of the school year. I have a few things I’d like to establish as part of my daily routine and some small changes to make. Here they are:
1. Walk or run 5 days a week
I want to keep running at least two days a week and start increasing my running intervals on those days. Walking and running give me an opportunity to clear my head so they are a must.
2. Spend at least 23 minutes outside.
This weather is not making it easy, but I need to do it. The fresh air is a mood booster for me. I’ve already missed two days this month (Tuesday and Wednesday) because the weather was terrible and it rained ALL DAY. Here’s hoping those are the last two days I miss in April.
3. Do 4 Peloton strength, yoga, or pilates workouts each week.
I love spending time in my basement with the Peloton instructors. I feel stronger and more flexible after my workouts. I have a 61 week streak going, but there were quite a few weeks with only one workout in February and March.
4. Read one nonfiction adult book.
I have quite a few nonfiction books on my list to read and I haven’t picked up nonfiction in months. I can read or listen to one to meet this goal.
5. Go through pajamas, long sleeve shirts, and short sleeve shirts. Keep only what i love and wear.
These three drawers are getting pretty full and there are quite a few I am not wearing. It is time to clear them out to donate or consign. The second part of this goal is to not refill the space. I have plenty of pajamas and shirts so any that I add this spring and summer need to be pretty special.
Those are my goals for the month! I am hoping to have some one-on-one time with Jeff, Jack, and Luke, as always. I didn’t make that a goal this month because scheduling that time depends on two people’s schedules and I don’t always have control over that. What are you working on this month? Any big goals?
