Happy Wednesday! It’s the first Wednesday of the month and I am linking up with Jennifer to share five things I am currently doing. Each month we share five different things and I think it’s a fun way to think about what’s going on.

I am loving…

The two extra days we got for spring break this year. Our school system usually has off on Friday and Monday around Easter for spring break. This year there was some calendar magic and we were off Thursday, Friday, Monday, and Tuesday. Those two extra days made a big difference! On Thursday, Luke and I joined my mom for our annual visit to the Peep Show and lunch. On Friday, we all hung out at home. The boys went to swim team and Jeff and I joined friends for happy hour at their house. On Saturday, the boys went to swim team and Jack and Jeff played golf. On Monday, Jack left for his spring break golf trip with the golf team and Jeff went into work for a bit. Luke and I visited the National Cryptologic Museum on the NSA campus. It was so cool! On Tuesday, we regrouped and got ready for the week and weekend ahead. It was lovely to have those extra days built in!

I’ve been watching the Taylor Swift concert on Disney+ and I LOVE IT!! I’m not sure I’d pay thousands to go to the concert, but it really is a great show! I love all the sparkle and sequins that she wears, too!

Before spring break, I was doing the three CHs and I am loving that. My three CHs are – chef, chauffer, and cheerleader. I am cooking high protein meals with fruits and veggies. I am driving Luke, and sometimes Jack, to all the practices, games, and activities. I am cheering Jack, Luke, and Jeff on in sports, school, and work. It’s busy, but it is fun and I love it!

New books! Luke asked for books for Easter and our Easter Bunny always delivers books!

Luke and I finished listening to Spy Ski School on Monday afternoon and we promptly started listening to Spy School Secret Service.

I am reading a great book by Lia Louis that comes out May 24th thanks to NetGalley. Along with this great book, I am working on my list for Summer Beach Reads 2024 and I am loving all of the choices! If you are feeling Summer Beach Reads, check out all of my previous lists to feel that sunshine!

I am looking forward to…

More weather like we had on Saturday and Sunday! It was warm and sunny and we spent a good bit of time outside. It was nice to use the deck and have the kids playing in our yard and the neighbor’s yard.

Going to Hershey Park with the swim team this weekend. We’ve been to Hershey Park for Christmas Candy Lane a few times, but we haven’t ever been when they are open for the regular season. I’m looking forward to riding roller coasters and seeing the boys have fun with their swim friends. I will say I am not looking forward to the drive home at the end of the day, but it will be great!

I am buying…

Jack and Luke got new goggles in their Easter baskets.

Luke needed new fins for swim team. I love Swim Outlet for swim team equipment and practice suits. I do the $5 annual membership and save so much more than $5 each year.

Both boys love Chubbies bathing suits!

I ordered glasses for the solar eclipse on Monday because can’t find our glasses from the 2017 eclipse.

New white crocs for the boys and Jack’s favorite flip flops of all time!

Replacement white tshirts for me. I love these shirts!

Sunscreen sticks and spray in the Amazon sale.

Cozy pajama pants for Luke.

The Easter Bunny brought more charcoal inserts for all these stinky teenage boy shoes – golf shoes, cleats, sneakers, indoor soccer shoes, need I say more???

These digital timers for the boys. Our water bill skyrocketed this quarter and the dentist advised adding a timer to be sure that everyone is brushing for a full two minutes. I picked these up and they are perfect!

I just ordered this set that is all over the influencers’ instagram and it should be here today. I think it is so cute! I have a long torso and short legs, so I am hoping the skirt will be high enough and the top will be long enough that my tummy won’t show. I’ll definitely share an update, but I can’t guarantee a picture.

I am planting…

Not much! I need to repot a few house plants on Tuesday. My Christmas cactuses are outgrowing thier pots. I have a clipping from one of Michelle Obama’s plants when she was First Lady and lived in the White House that is ready for a bigger pot, too.

The only problem with these plants growing and doing so well is that my greenhouse table in our family room is getting crowded. The plants love that spot so I hate to move them.

I am cleaning celebrating…

I am not much of a cleaner, aside from cleaning out my closets and wiping down the counters. We have a wonderful group that comes in every other week to clean so that’s taken care of regularly. While I’m not doing much cleaning, I do have a lot of celebrating going on right now.

Jack turned 15 on Sunday! I cannot believe that I have a 15 year old! We are in the midst of registering for two big classes – lifeguarding and driver’s ed! Whoa!! He’s had a great year. Jack started high school and didn’t know a single kid in his class, but has made a great group of friends. He is studying more than I’ve ever seen him study, but he is killing it in his classes! He tried a new sport – water polo – and did a great job. He swam for his club team and high school this winter. And now he’s playing golf just about every day which makes for a very happy Jack! We are so proud of him and can’t wait to see what 15 holds for Jack!

We celebrated Easter on Sunday, too. Jeff’s brother and sister and their families and our parents came over for the afternoon. I didn’t make a formal dinner, but we had appetizers and snacks out all afternoon. It is a yummy way to have a holiday! We started our day with church and birthday donuts. Then spent as much time outside as possible for the rest of the day! It was so sunny and warm!

We are celebrating Luke’s birthday in a few weeks, too! He is turning 13! It’s a big year for him!

It always feels good to start the week at the halfway point! I am hoping that re-entry goes smoothly. Our evenings this week are a little calmer, which is nice. Jeff and I are enjoying some one on one time with Luke while Jack’s having the best time on his golf trip. I’ll be back tomorrow with my April goals. Thanks for hosting this fun linkup Jennifer. I can’t wait to see what you are currently doing. Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

Happy bday! 15 seems so much older than 14 for some reason. Cute set! I think you can rock that! I still have my eclipse glasses. I hope they still work? Ha!

I loved reading all of your answers for the prompts! Your life does sound like it’s full and busy, but in a great way that all of you enjoy. I remember ours being like that when our boys were younger. I loved those days! I still love life like it is for me right now, too, but I will always count down to the days when we can all be together at certain times, like tonight when we celebrate a birthday. My boys used to love Chubbies shorts! I’d forgotten about them until just now when I read about the swim trunks. You did great with their baskets!

What a great Easter break! So jealous of your weather! Still chilly up here and getting some snow tomorrow but after that it is approaching 70 so I will take it. Your Easter outfit was beautiful and I love the things you snagged the boys 🙂

Looks like a beautiful Easter weekend! It is so nice when you get Good Friday and what we call better Monday off school. Enjoy the rest of your week!
