Happy Friday! We had a five day week and the routine felt good. It’s so funny how much more I can get done when I have more to do. I some favorites to share with you today, so let’s get to it!

Favorite 1: BAND!! Luke had his winter band concert this week and he did a great job! He played three percussion instruments and had a blast! Both sets of grandparents came to watch and we were all so proud!

Favorite 2: PLUNGE!! Jack hasn’t hopped in our cold plunge pool yet, but he did do the polar bear plunge yesterday! His water polo team got a group together for the cool schools plunge and he hopped in the Chesapeake Bay yesterday. He had a great time! This is a nostalgic favorite, too. I did the Polar Bear Plunch a few times before the boys were born. Our Polar Bear Plunge raises money for Special Olympics so it’s a great cause, too.
Favorite 3: JEFF!! Jack spent the night at his grandparents last night so Jeff and I went to Luke’s soccer practice. It was nice to chat with him for one hour with no interruptions. We laughed and watched Luke learn some new moves.

Favorite 4: POWERSOFT!! I mentioned this on Wednesday, but I LOVE Old Navy’s powersoft fabric. I lived in the dresses all spring, summer, and fall. I learned about the joggers in November. I just found another pair of pants that I love! They are a taper pant and so so comfy!! I may have gotten them in black AND navy!

Favorite 5: FRUIT!! I feel like we are right at the beginning of fruit starting to be amazing. I bought our first pound of Plant City strawberries last week and I just cut up our 4th pound last night! I bought 3 pounds of grapes this week. I always pull them off the stem, wash them, and let them dry in a collander. I set them out to dry after school and by the time I went to bed this is all that was left. These grapes are delicious!

Favorite 6: EXERCISE!! Just as I was feeling a little unmotivated, I hit two milestones that got me moving again. I closed my move ring for the 1000th time and I got a 52 week streak on the Peloton app.

Favorite 7: BOOKS!! I am still in the middle of three books and I am enjoying all three! I hope to finish at least one this weekend.

As an elementary school librarian I get to read a bunch of books, but I also do a lot of lessons on research and digital citizenship. I have been doing more read alouds this week and I am loving the books I’ve been reading with my students. This week, I read Grumpy Monkey, The Snowy Nap, XO Exoplanet, and Cozy. The kids loved them!

I am looking forward to our weekend. Jack has a swim meet on Saturday and we have a bull roast on Saturday night. I am hoping that we have my closet totally put together by Sunday evening. Have a great weekend full of sunshine and books!

We like to get all our fruit ready to eat like those grapes too; that way the boys are more likely to eat them. Funny enough, I find I am more productive the longer my to do list is too; if it’s a really short list I often push everything off until the next day and just procrastinate.
Well done to Luke in the band! He looks very pleased with himself.
I have been eating more fruit over this past week and we’re making plans to go strawberry picking in the summer! Yum, yum!
Congrats on your workout accomplishments. That’s amazing. Luke is quite the musician. I hope you all have a great weekend.
It looks like your son really had fun playing those instruments. Congrats
