Happy Wednesday! It’s the last Wednesday of the month so I am sharing what we’ve been up to. Let’s get to it!
WHAT WE’RE EATING THIS WEEK…
WHAT I’M LOVING…
Family time! Jack isn’t playing basketball so Jeff isn’t coaching basketball for the first time in 6 years. That means our evenings and weekends have been a little less scheduled. We have had way more time hanging out at home together.
My fairy hair! On a bit of a researched whim, I got 15 strands of fairy hair on December 13th. I was a little unsure about how it would look with curly hair, but it works! Then, I was hoping that it would last through New Year’s Eve. The person I went to knots/weaves the fairy hair to an individual strand of hair so when that hair falls out, the fairy hair falls out, too. I’ve only lost five strands and I still love it! I am glad I picked the warm golden color so it blends a little with my hair.
Sunshine! Last Friday and Saturday were sunny and warmer and I loved it! It got into the 70s on Friday and the 60s on Saturday. It was such a mood boost!
WHAT WE’VE BEEN UP TO…
Swim, swim, and more swim!
We went to my dad’s golf simulator since the weather hasn’t been super for the course.
I went out to lunch with some friends.
Luke had his band concert last night. He crushed it!
WHAT I’M DREADING…
We have some fun things on the horizon, but I am dreading the cold and dark for another few months. I just don’t love it.
WHAT I’M WORKING ON…
Our closet! Remember how it fell down on January 2nd? Well, I didn’t make time to figure it out until last weekend. Jeff and I started repairing the holes so we can remount the supports in the studs and put that shelf back up.
WHAT I’M EXCITED ABOUT…
Our school wide book program starts next month and I am excited for it. It is so fun when our whole school is reading the same book!
Plant City strawberries are back! I got my first pound on Saturday and they are so so good. Plant City strawberries are the gold standard until June when our local strawberries are in season.
WHAT I’M WATCHING/READING…
I shared my January reading update yesterday. I read a bunch of great holiday books (add those to your list for next year), kids books, and adult books.
I watched the Barbie movie, and then I watched it again! I know I am late to watch it, but it is so good!
WHAT I’M LISTENING TO…
Podcasts on Spotify. I love numbers and analyzing them, so I am trying to listen to my podcasts on Spotify this year to see them included in my Wrapped 2024. I am not loving it though. I feel like the podcasts jump around and it’s harder to find the 8 or so podcasts I listen to regularly.
WHAT I’M WEARING…
Hello, my name is Sarah and I cannot get enough of Old Navy’s powersoft material. You know I loved the dresses all spring, summer, and fall.
My friend Jamie showed me the joggers in November and I have been living in the black and gray ones. I’m even wearing them to work!
I saw a taper powersoft pant in an ad and orderd the black and navy. They are amazing!!
I’ve been wearing a more casual wardrobe this month. It’s been cold or snowy or rainy many days, so I’m going comfy.
WHAT I’M DOING THIS WEEKEND…
I’ll give you one guess… You’re right – going to a swim meet! Jack has his high school championship meet this weekend and I can’t wait to cheer him and the team on.
We are going to a bull roast for our local baseball club. We have a few friends with kids that are in their Cooperstown year so we are supporting those teams. This bull roast was our last big outing before things shut down in 2020 and this is our first time going back.
WHAT I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT MONTH…
We are taking a trip to Florida for Jack’s golf tournament. Last year at the same tournament, they had frost delays in the morning. I’m hoping it’s much warmer this year!!
I love celebrating Valentine’s Day with my loves!
I am going to see one of my favorite bands from college in concert!
January always feels like a long month, but it was pretty good around here. I will be back tomorrow with my February goals. Have a great day full of sunshine and books!
It looks like it’s been a fun month! I am in the minority where I didn’t really like the Barbie movie and almost fell asleep during it. LOL I enjoyed the nostalgia factor and recognizing all the items I had when I was a kid though.

Yay for more family time. Im wondering if this will be Hayden’s last season of basketball. Im trying to soak it all in. Your outfits are always so bright, cheerful and fun.
