Happy Friday! I’m posting a bit late because our county actually called a snow day for today yesterday at 5:20 pm. That is absolutely unheard of! It was such a big surprise! I usually work on my Friday Favorites Thursday evenings, but not last night. It was a busy evening! Remember last Friday how I said I was looking for some routine?? Ha, ha. The joke is on me! We had off Monday for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, off Tuesday for a snow day, a 2 hour delay on Wednesday, a full day on Thursday, and off today. Maybe that routine will come back next week… Either way I have some favorites for you!

Favorite 1: SNOW DAY!! My county called it last night, so Luke and I knew we were off today. Our deck already had some snow from Tuesday and we are supposed to get another 3-5 inches today.

Favorite 2: SWIM! Jack has a swim meet last night and decided to ride the bus back to school beacause his school hadn’t canceled yet. Which added to the busyness of last night, keep reading!

Favorite 3: GRANDPARENTS! Jeff is traveling this week. When he travels, Jack stays at Jeff’s parents. They live super close to his school and are so great about getting him to and from school or after school events. I went to Jack’s swim meet, so my dad came over after school and took Luke to soccer. This schedule we’re running takes a village and our grandparents are the best!
Favorite 4: SNOW DAY (part 2)! Jack’s school called their snow day not long after we left the swim meet. So I headed home, waited for my dad and Luke to get home, hopped in the car with Luke, and headed to get Jack. The snow day signal was shining bright last night!

Favorite 5: FLIGHT RADAR24!! When we were at the Air and Space musuem last weekend, we used the FlightRadar24 app to see what planes were landing at Dulles airport while we were watching. I used it this morning to track Jeff’s plane this morning. It was fun to use!

My kids are out playing in the snow now. I’m listening to I’ve Had It podcast and getting some things done around the house while I wait for Jeff to get home. I’ll be at a swim meet most of the weekend cheering on Jack and Luke. I hope to read a bunch and see some good swimming!! Have a great weekend full of sunshine and books!

Y’all have a busy schedule, even more so when snow or travel enters the picture. The view of all that snow from your house is beautiful! Hope next week is a little more routine!
Yay for an extra snow day! We had zero routine this week either… but I’m hopeful next week might be more “normal?” ENJOY!
That’s awesome that you have grandparents to help you. Yay for snow days! I hope you all have a great weekend.
I would nerd out on that app! I love FlightAware and have been using that for years. Your snow looks so pretty! Your swim meet photos brought back memories of cold winter swim practices with wet hair. I’m so cold remembering that!
What a fun, albeit busy, week! Snow days are so much fun; I’ve enjoyed ours as well, but I am officially ready for it to all go away now. I haven’t driven in a week! I am dying to get out of my house, on my own and may celebrate tomorrow by doing something fun for myself. I hope your hubby made it back home safe and that you enjoyed the weekend!
