Happy Wednesday! It’s the first Wednesday of the month and I am linking up with Jennifer to share five things I am currently doing. Each month we share five different things and I think it’s a fun way to think about what’s going on.

I am loving…

the time I spent with my college girlfriends last weekend! We stayed in a super cute AirBnB and caught up all weekend. We have a group of seven that all lived on the same hall freshman year and stayed together for the four years. We graduated 21 years ago and have kept in touch! There were two friends that I hadn’t seen since 2016 and it was great to see them! We were missing two girls this weekend, but hopefully we’ll all make the next get together.

I am buying…

books for Jolabokaflod! I went to a publisher’s book talk last night at my local bookstore and got some ideas. In case you don’t know, Jolabokaflod is the Icelandic Yule Book Flood. On Christmas Eve, Icelandic people give books to each other causing a Yule Book Flood. I read about this tradition and adopted it a few years ago. So each Christmas Eve, I give everyone at our table a book.

I am preparing…

to be at a swim meet all weekend. Luke was cleared to go back to activities on Monday. Thank goodness!! He feels great and can go to the meet this weekend. Jack swims in the morning session and Luke in the afternoon so it will be a nice long day of cheering for me. It’s a travel meet so we’ll be in a hotel, too. It’s a fun meet and the boys usually swim well so we’re looking forward to it.

Then, next weekend we have another swim meet weekend. We are volunteering at the 8 & under meet and then Jack is swimming in the afternoons. We’ll be in town, but it is going to be another weekend of cheering.

I am excited for…

two concerts in one week! After Jimmy Buffett died, we realized that Peter Mayer and Mac McAnally would be coming to town one week apart. My parents and I both wanted to go and we got tickets. Now, here we are with a concert tonight and another one next Wednesday night. I’m going to be tired, but it will definitely be worth it!

I am planning…

media classes for the next 12 school days. We go to school through the 22nd and I am planning how to have some fun doing media/book/research related things. Our Book Fair just ended so I want to make the best of these 12 days. I have a few great ideas ready to go, but I am planning the rest of the lessons.

when and how I am going to get the rest of our outside decorations up. It’s been cold and rainy or I haven’t been home lately and I have a bunch of lights and an inflatable to get up! (No picture because there’s nothing to show yet.)
