Happy Tuesday! I am linking up with Shooting Stars to show you the books I read this month. I think I have read fewer books this month than I have all year. I think there are two reasons for this. 1 – We are back to school so I have less time for reading. 2 – I have been scrolling social media on my phone more than I’d like. I have a lot of books I’d like to read in the remaining 82 days of this year.

The True Love Experiment by Christina Lauren ☀️☀️☀️☀️

It was fun to follow Fizzy, from The Soulmate Equation, in a bachelor type reality show. I always love when authors write books about secondary characters from their other books. This book was similar to Christina Lauren’s other books and perfect to read during the school week.
The Soulmate by Sally Hepworth ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️

I love Sally Hepworth’s books because they are suspenseful without being scary. I am a bit of a weenie and cannot read books that are too suspenseful or scary without have nightmares. The twist surprised me a little, but I had a feeling the characters had some unknown connection. I highly recommend it for lovely scenery, family ties, and just enough suspense.
The Darlings by Hannah McKinnon ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️

I absolutely loved this book!! It was a great family story with secrets and a beautiful coastal setting. I loved that the story was told from the point of view of multiple generations, grandmother Tish, mother Cora and father Stanley, and the three children Andi, Hugh, and Sydney. It is a great beach read and kept that summer feeling going through September!
Currently Reading: The Castaway by Stephanie Taylor

Currently Listening: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince by J.K. Rowling

You can always checkout what I’ve been reading on my Books 2023 page. If you scroll to the bottom of that Books 2023 page, I have all of my yearly reading pages linked.
What have you been reading? I am hoping to read more than three books this month. Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

Oh what a great list here- thanks for sharing- going to add a couple to my queue 🙂
I enjoyed those first 2 books a lot too and I’m STILL waiting for The Darlings to come in through our library.
I really want to read the Darlings. I just finished Mad Honey, and it was so good
I love when authors do spinoff books on secondary characters too — The True Love Experiment sounds like a fun read! Will be adding The Soulmate to my to-read list too! (I also try to avoid books that are too scary, haha.)
Thanks for linking up! Looks like you read some good books even if it wasn’t as much as you wanted. 🙂
