Hello Monday – 10/9/23

Happy Monday! I’m here with Holly sharing some fun from our weekend. I hope you’ll link up with us for Hello Monday!

We had a great weekend full of cheering on the boys! When a girlfriend asked what we were doing this weekend I replied swim, swim, soccer, golf, soccer, lacrosse, swim, soccer, and maybe one more soccer game. And that is pretty much how it went. Luke skipped swim on Friday because he was exhausted, but everything else went as planned. Jack swam Friday and Sunday. Luke had a soccer tournament with two games on Saturday, one in the rain and one in the dark. Jack had his first golf practice with the high school coach. My only responsibility as a parent was to drop off and pick up so I didn’t get any pictures. It went really well. I went for a walk by the water and read in the sunshine at the course. On Sunday, Luke had a lacrosse clinic. Jack went to swim practice for a technique and filming session. Luke had a soccer game and his team made it to the championship Sunday evening. Are you tired yet? I sure am!

I made a huge batch of pumpkin protein pancakes on Sunday morning for Jack and he’s looking forward to having them for breakfast this week. I put our favorite pot roast in the crockpot before we left for all the things and was so grateful to come home to a delicious warm dinner.

We have our calmest week of the school year coming up and we are all so ready for it!! The weather is chilly to start, but I think it’s going to warm up a bit. I’ll be back tomorrow with a reading update, on Wednesday for Let’s Look, and on Friday with my favorites. I hope you had a great weekend! Be sure to link up with Holly and me below if you blogged today! Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

What a busy and fun weekend. I cooked on Saturday night, and my kids were like “who is she?” Haha
We’d gotten back from vacation, so I actually felt like cooking.

That sounds like the perfect weekend Sarah! So much fun watching the kids do what they love and your dinner being ready is on point! You will have to share your protein pancake recipe at some point too 🙂

Here’s the pancake recipe. I used Trader Joe’s pumpkin pancake mix and added two scoops of vanilla protein powder. Then I add a little more milk if it’s too dry. My little hack to fill these teenager bellies!
