Happy Monday! I’m here with Holly sharing some fun from our weekend. I hope you’ll link up with us for Hello Monday!

We had a great pool weekend! On Friday evening, we had a pep rally at the pool for swim team. Our team has one every Friday night before a home swim meet. It is fun for the kids, but it is really a way to get parents there to help set up. Smart, right? We have a pot luck style dinner and then everyone sets the pool up for the meet. The kids play and have a blast with their teammates. This week it thundered and rained a bit so they hung out and danced in the pavilion while we waited for the storm to pass.

The boys swam in the meet on Saturday morning and did a great job. My dad came to cheer them on this week! I didn’t take a single swimming picture (oops) but it looked a lot like last week. Ha!

We stayed at the pool for a few hours when the meet ended to relax and cool off. It was a hot one. Then we came home and I got ready for Chris Stapleton!! Oh my goodness! He puts on an amazing show! My friend Erin and I had a blast!

We were up early again on Sunday morning. Jack is going to play water polo in the fall for high school. The team had a “try it” day. Jack has never played so he went. Great news – he thought it was really fun!

We dashed home from that and headed to the pool. We are celebrating the pool’s 50th anniversary and had a big family party. There were games, relays, adult cannon ball and belly flop contests, and a great big cake. The weather looked a little iffy, but it was perfect! Hot and sunny and so much fun!

Luke got to judge the cannon ball and belly flop contests. He took his job very seriously.

We ended up leaving the pool around six, much to the shock of our friends. One actually said, “Sarah, what are you doing? You know it’s only 6 pm, right?” Haha!

We picked up carryout and laid low for the rest of the evening. I finished the last of my work for the class I am taking. Woohoo!! Jack got ready for study skills camp this week. We all headed to bed pretty early after a great outside weekend!

The boys have a midweek swim meet this week, but the rest of the week should be a bunch of pool time, some golf time, and a lot of reading. If you blogged, don’t forget to link up below! Have a great day full of sunshine and books!
