Hello Monday – 6/12/23

Happy Monday! I’m here with Holly sharing some fun from our weekend. I hope you’ll link up with us for Hello Monday!

Guess what?? She’s officially back!! Summer Sarah has been sneaking in here and there over the past few weeks, but she is officially back!! Woohoo!! We have no milk, a few veggies, no dinner plan for tonight, but we had a great weekend full of pool time and relaxing. That’s what it’s all about.

Friday was the kids’ last day of school. I have two more mornings to work but I’ll be finished working each day by the time the pool opens. They both had a great year and I am so proud of them!! After school, Jack went to a friend’s pool party and Luke headed to our pool’s party.

I went to an event with our library and bookstore to meet Kristan Higgins. She was hilarious and I can’t wait to read A Little Ray of Sunshine! She was in conversation with Nikki Payne. I picked her book up from the library and have added it to my summer reading list.

On Saturday, Luke and I spent a few hours at the pool. He got some laps in and we enjoyed the sunshine. Jack and Jeff checked out a golf performance place and then we all spent some time at home.

It was our 17th anniversary so Jeff and I went out to dinner. It was delicious and wonderful to celebrate on our actual anniversary. It’s not often that we do because it’s such a busy time.

I met some friends for a walk on Sunday morning after I did a quick run. It was great to catch up with them!

When I got home, I made some quick lunches and cut up some fruit for the day. Luke and I went to the pool around 11:15 for lap swim and got set up for the day.

He had his lacrosse team party at the pool and the boys had a blast playing together! Jeff and Jack snuck out for a quick 9 holes before it got dark.

Luke and I ended up pulling an all-dayer at the pool! We were there from open to close and it was wonderful!

I finished Happy Place and started Meet Me at the Lake.

I’m not sure we’ll get to the pool today because there is a bit of rain in the forecast. As much as I love sunny days, we could also use a good rainy day! Either way, I hope you have a great day full of sunshine and books!

Happy anniversary and happy summer! Summer Amy is trying to come out but still kind of stressed from the last week’s events and scared to go full on summer!

Yay for summer Sarah! How cool that you got to meet Kristan Higgins! I wish our library had more author meet and greets…I may mention that in our next board meeting. We do have one indy bookstore here in Memphis that does this kind of thing a lot, but it’s always super crowded and it’s not the most convenient for me to get to. That being said, I do try to go when it’s someone I want to meet. We have some rain headed our way tomorrow, and I’m excited about it because we really need some. I pushed my swim days back to Wednesday and Thursday of this week, so I’ll be ready for the pool once those days arrive!
