Happy Monday! I’m here with Holly sharing some fun from our week. I hope you’ll link up with us for Hello Monday!

Well, it’s official, Summer Sarah is back!! I didn’t get a single blog post after Monday last week, I forgot about a casual appointment, we have minimal groceries, and we crushed some pool time. It is great!!
I was planning on working Monday and Tuesday from 6 am – noon so that I could still go to the pool last week. In my county, media specialists work a few extra days before and after the school year. I love having the extra time and can usually work it so I can still get to the pool with the boys most days. Monday’s weather wasn’t great so I worked a few extra hours and my mom hung with the boys. She took them to swim team practice on Monday and Tuesday. I always appreciate that she’s willing to help out on my extra days, and every day really!

We hung around the house on Monday and then I went to Books at Becks. This is an event put on my my local bookstore at a restaurant across the street. There are three booksellers from Penguin Random House that talk about a bunch of books. It’s one of my favorite book events of the year!
On Tuesday, we went to the pool for a while before Luke’s soccer team’s parent meeting. It was nice to meet the new coach and new family’s on Luke’s team.
Wednesday was my first official day of summer!

I took the boys to swim practice, Jack 9-10:15 and Luke 10:15-11:15. It was chilly and not a good pool day so I decided it was dishwasher day. At this point we still did not have any resolution in our dishwasher situation. I have been yanked around by Bosch and Lowe’s and have spent way more time on the phone with both companies that I should have had to. I went to Lowe’s and took Jack with me. We were going to go out to lunch afterwards because I was certain it would be a quick trip. Ha! I was wrong. After over two hours, a phone call to Bosch, three Lowe’s employees, and two store managers, we finally had a delivery date scheduled. It was absolutely awful and compounded by the hungry teenager I had with me.

Thursday was GORGEOUS!! Jeff was off and we spent the afternoon at the pool. Kourtni joined us and we read and talked. It was great!! Summer Sarah forgot that I was meeting a neighbor to take a look at their countertop ice maker. He texted and asked where I was 10 minutes after we were meeting. Oops! Luckily he belongs to the pool and knows just how Summer Sarah operates.
Jack and Jeff played golf with Jeff’s dad on Thursday night and Luke and I stayed at the pool until we had to pick up the CSA around 5:30.

Jeff, Jack, and Luke played golf with my dad on Friday. I had a doctor’s appointment and it wasn’t supposed to be a pool day so I wrote a long inside to do list. I got a ton done even though the sun came out. We had breakfast for dinner on Friday night and it was so yummy!

We had time trials for swim team on Saturday morning. I was volunteering and I didn’t take a single picture. Oops! The boys had fun with friends on our team and the team we were swimming with.
After the meet, Jeff and the boys went home for our dishwasher delivery. It arrived, but it is not installed yet. That should happen today! My fingers are crossed that it is in perfect condition!!

I met my mom at the library for Fiona Davis. She was talking about her new book, The Spectacular, and it was great!! I loved the book and highly recommend it! It’s about Radio City and the Rockettes in the 1950s.

Jack swam in a long course meet on Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon. He did a great job and his hard work is paying off!

Look how lovely the sky looked on Saturday evening. We were driving home from the swim meet and the sun was just going below the tree line.

Jeff and Luke spent the afternoon at the pool. We all met at home and had carryout for dinner for Father’s Day.

I’m hoping to post a little more regularly this week now that we are into our summer routine. I plan on sharing a little reading update because I’ve been reading a bunch! Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

Summer days are the best! I hope your dishwasher works well. Have a great week!
Summer is off to a great start for you! My pool time was lessened last week because of all the rain we had. I won’t complain about it, because we really needed the rain! It rained a lot this weekend too, but this week it’s only a small chance of it each day, so hopefully I’ll squeeze in two days at the pool again. Thanks for hosting us! Have a great day, friend!
Happy Monday! I’m a teacher, too (among other things!), and I’m loving the summer as well! Thanks for hosting this linkup. It’s nice to see what people share.
Your summer is off to a great start! I’ve had a busy month of June and have found it hard to find a blogging routine. That’s so cool that you met Fiona Davis…I will request that book at the library. My Gma loves her books. I hope your dishwasher is the answer to your prayers! Haha
Keeping my fingers crossed for you that the new dishwasher is IT! I have that book on my order list from the library.
