Happy Monday! I’m here with Holly sharing some fun from our weekend. I hope you’ll link up with us for Hello Monday! This is our last Monday of school and I am so excited!

Jack had his 8th grade dance on Friday night. The theme was A Night in Honolulu and most of the boys wore Hawaiian shirts and khaki shorts. They looked very handsome. Most of the girls were dressed to the nines! It made me excited for Jack’s first homecoming next year!

It was his first school dance and he had a great time. He said the music was great but there wasn’t much dancing. The kids mostly just hung out.

Saturday was mostly about Luke. We left the house around 6:30 am for his lacrosse tournament, came home for about 20 minutes and left again for his soccer party.

His team played really well in the tournament and had a ton of fun. They came in 2nd in their bracket, which was fabulous! One of the teams they played had some ineligible players (it was 13u) that were 14 and 15 years old. Here’s Luke doing a face off against them. They were all this size. 😳

I finally finished the embroidery project I’ve been working on for a year. Tournaments really are the best place to do it because I can talk to others and work on it.

Luke’s soccer coach is retiring after a long coaching tenure with the club. It was Luke’s first year with him, but some of the boys have played for this coach since they were in kindergarten. He was a wonderful coach and we are so grateful Luke got to play for him this year. It was a great party to end a wonderful season.

Jack stayed home from Luke’s party because he was exhausted from the dance the night before. When we got home from the party, Jack wanted to go to the pool with some friends. So, he and I went to the pool until just about 9. I read a little and enjoyed the view!

We had a much slower start to the morning on Sunday. We all hung around the house and got caught up from being gone all day Saturday. Luke made more time lapse movies while he built a Lego scene. I went for a long walk. Jack played outside and played a video game with jeff for a bit.
Jack had a club fitting and lesson at 12:30. He picked out a new club and it should be here in about a week. Jeff said he hit it really well, so that is great.
Luke had his final soccer game of the seasons at 4:30. He played well, but they did not come away with a win for coach’s last game.

We grabbed dinner and did a grocery pickup on the way home. The kids played outside for a while. They did the obligatory Sunday night check for homework and anything that needs to be ready for the week. I am so so happy that this was our last Sunday night scramble for the year. Bring on summer!!
I wore 2 more bracelet stacks this weekend. Red, white, and blue for lacrosse and another 3 color stack for the soccer party.

Summer swim team practice starts today which makes me so happy! We have 4 more days of school and I am counting them down. I hope you had a great weekend with beautiful weather. Have a great day full of sunshine and books!
