Happy Thursday! It’s the last Thursday of the month so I am linking up with Holly and Patty to answer 10 fun seasonal questions. I love thinking about my answers and seeing everyone else’s answers, too!

1. Do you host Thanksgiving or go elsewhere?

I do not host. We usually go to my parents house. We have been to Jeff’s parents a few times in the past 20 years. We’ve been to my sister’s a few times for Thanksgiving when she lived in Hilton Head. I always help, but I have never hosted.

2. What dishes do you make or contribute?

Typically I bring the relish tray. 😂 I’m all over the olives, gherkins, carrots, and celery. I also bring some appetizers for lunch/snacks. My mom makes pretty much everything but I’m there so I help with as much as I can all day.

3. What is your favorite Thanksgiving recipe and will you share with us?

I love cranberry sauce, but only on Thanksgiving.

Step 1. Buy Ocean Spray jellied cranberry.
Step 2. Remove the lid with a can opener.
Step 3. Give it a good shake onto a plate.
Step 4. Enjoy.

4. What are your Thanksgiving traditions?

Our biggest tradition is the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. We always watch it! One year, my mom, sister, and I went to the parade and it was so fun!

We always have turkey! That is the only meat we eat that day. Some people make a ham too, but not us. Turkey only!

Sometimes we do a turkey trot, but not every year. Last year, Jeff and the boys did a homemade 5k while I was helping my mom.

5. Stuffing or dressing?

We call it stuffing and we do stuff it in the turkey. I never ate stuffing as a kid or adult. I decided to try it last year and I actually love it. Surprise!

6. Pumpkin, pecan, or apple pie?

I don’t really love pie. If I must pick a pie, I’ll choose apple.

7. Casual dining or set the table?

We always set the table for Thanksgiving. We sit at the table and enjoy a lovely meal.

8. Favorite beverages to serve with Thanksgiving dinner?

Chardonnay, Chardonnay, and a little more Chardonnay!! Cheers!!

9. Do you shop Black Friday?

No way! I am a Cyber Monday girl!

10. Holiday movie or football games?

Yes! We do it all on Thanksgiving. We do watch football all afternoon. After dinner, when all the dishes are done, we watch White Christmas to kick off the Christmas season.

That was fun! I’m getting excited for Thanksgiving Day and the parade! I may do a little more holiday multitasking this year because Hallmark already has the Christmas movies going. Have a great day full of sunshine and books!
