Happy Monday! I’m here with Holly sharing my April goals.

I haven’t shared my goals in a while, because I haven’t really made any. I have been in maintenance/survival mode for a little while and it’s time to turn things around. Spring and fall are always busy, but for some reason spring always feels busier. I’m determined to make April and May as smooth as possible. The goal is to glide into summer like this:

Not crash into it exhausted looking like this:

Goal 1: PLAN GOOD MEALS!! I always have a meal plan. Lately it has included a lot of ???, choices/leftovers, and from the fridge. That definitely keeps us from wasting food, but it also means chicken nuggets are gracing the meal plan more than I’d like. We are getting a new grill today and the weather should be warming up, so that will help. I’m looking forward to more grilled chicken, grilled veggies, steak, grilled shrimp and fish. This week’s meal plan has pasta, tacos, fajitas, and burgers or steak.

Goal 2: MORNING EXERCISE!! I have been getting my workouts in almost every day and I’m feeling good about that. However, I want to be more consistent in the morning. Tuesdays and Fridays are my most challenging mornings to get up. My goal for April is to get up all 5 days to make sure I get those workouts in. The afternoons are busy and trying to fit a workout in is tough. And, if I’ve done my workout in the morning I can read or walk or chat when I’m at one of the boys’ practices.
Goal 3: GROCERY PICKUP!! I want to follow Amy’s example and schedule my grocery pickup for Thursdays. Lately, we’ve been scrambling with a Monday pickup or abandoning grocery pickup and running to the grocery store for a few mini trips each week. Neither one is working for this calm, prepared spring I’m striving for. Amy likes Wednesday or Thursday so she goes into the weekend stocked and it sounds wonderful. I had a pickup last night at 7 pm, but I’m setting one for Thursday right now!
Goal 4: PLAN VACATIONS!! My goal by the end of this month is to have all of our overnight trips planned. I know I am late to the game but our summer schedules were just finalized. We need to figure out some beach time, some city time, some learning time, and some more beach time. 😉😎
Goal 5: BLOG AHEAD!! More often than not, I am writing my blog posts at 9 pm the night before they go live. It’s not a problem, but there are quite a few posts that I write each month that I can work on ahead of time. I started my mid month Show Us Your Books post yesterday. I’m working on my end of the month What’s Up Wednesday and Tuesday Book Release Day posts, too. Hopefully this will help me get to bed a little earlier so the morning workouts are a little easier to wake up for.
That’s it. Five goals that will keep my April running smoothly and help us get ready for summer. If you blogged today, be sure to link up with Holly and me. Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

that picture made me chuckle- HA! You crush your goals- always love following along! 🙂
Loving your goals. Maybe I need to do a week night grocery pick up to free up the weekends!

Those are great goals. I should use my planner for goals and not just the things on my calendar!
Great, doable goals and thanks for the shout-out! Just remember that I’m an empty nester and you are juggling way more right now! Morning exercise feels so good and any evening activity is icing on the cake. Trip details are always so stressful to me. I way overthink it! You’ve got this!
Love all your goals. Why do I already feel like the ragged Barbie? Haha sometimes I am better baker getting my workouts in the busier I am. Also I guess in April, I start thinking more about summer and of course the weather is nicer for walks, etc. Im trying to blog ahead a bit too…& also feel ok with shorter posts.
Those are great goals! I am really trying to get 3-5 workouts in each week too but it’s a struggle…
