Hello Monday – 3/7/22

Happy Monday! I’m here with Holly sharing some fun from our weekend. I hope you’ll link up with us for Hello Monday!

Most of our weekend was spent doing sporty things and I did not take many pictures. I did take a little bit of time for me on Saturday. I got to meet Rebecca Serle at our library. She is on tour for her new book, One Italian Summer. I was so excited to meet her because I just read In Five Years and loved it. She was so lovely and engaging! I will definitely try to see her if she comes through again on book tour. I started One Italian Summer last night, so I’ll let you know what I think as soon as I finish.

On Saturday, Luke’s basketball team won their first playoff game, but lost their second. His team had a fun last practice on Sunday where they did a skills challenge like the NBA. He had a great time playing this year and we appreciated all that his coaches did to make it so great!

Jack’s team also had a playoff game on Saturday and they won. They’ll play one, two, or three games next Saturday depending on how they do. If they win, they keep playing and when they lose, they’re done.

Great shot buddy!

I ran a virtual 5K on Sunday. I love District tank tops, style RN 90836, and this particular 5K had that tank top in a color I don’t have (purple) for a great price $15 total. I signed up for it and it fit in well with my workout schedule and my Declare It Day goal to run a 10k. It felt great to run around my neighborhood and I’m so happy I did it. Was my time super fast? Nope. Do I care? Also, nope!

We had good weather on Sunday – 70s, a bit humid, and a little cloudy – so after that 5k I wanted to stay outside. Jeff and I went for a long walk. I took Jack to the driving range. I suggested we have a longest drive competition and Jack said it would only be fair if we both played with my clubs. He’s a lefty and I am a righty, but he was right. He’s really hitting the ball well! When we got home, we went for a nice long walk, too. It was a great way to spend my Sunday.

Luke had a lacrosse clinic on Sunday evening and it was the first time I’ve seen him play this year. He’s really improving and it was so fun to watch him!

Remember when I told you I was waiting for a Barrington coupon code to get this great bag?

Well, I was playing around on their website this weekend and now I’m not sure what I want to get. So many fun choices! Which do you think I should order?

I crammed in a few of those pampering things on Sunday evening – hair dye and face mask. Then it was off to bed so I am well rested for this five day week! If you blogged, be sure to link up with us for Hello Monday! Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

I just love that you have all these opportunities to meet all these authors. We don’t usually have any that come around here.

I just this week decided to give myself a goal of running a 10k this year. I’m kind of terrified of it, but I found a 10k training routine on Pinterest. And I know that I can do this… So I’m excited to do my best!
