Happy Friday! This has been quite a week! This was my first five day week in over a month and I need to build my work stamina back up! Luckily, next week is a five day week so I can work on that. I have a few favorites from this week to share with you. Let’s get to it!

Favorite 1: BOOKS!! This was a book filled week! It was Read Across America week and we celebrated at school with shirts you can read, cozy up and read, reading exercises your brain, and book character day spirit days.

We also welcomed our first in person author in over two years to our school!! John Patrick Green was so great and my kids love his books! If you have kids that love Dog Man or Max Meow, The Investigators are perfect for them!

This is actually an unfavorite favorite – I finally finished the book that took me a whole month to read. The Olympics had a part in that, but it was the book, too. I was reading The Gifted School by Bruce Holsinger. It sounded like it was going to be right up my alley, but it was way too slow for me and I did not love the surprise at the end. It was disconnected and a bit far fetched for my liking. The reason this is a favorite is I am finally moving on to a book I am so excited to read – Just Haven’t Met You Yet by Sophie Cousens

Favorite 2: ANCESTRY!! A few years ago, Jeff and I gave our parents and ourselves an Ancestry DNA kit. I love when I get an email that my DNA story has been updated. I got an update this week and I was so surprised at how specific it got. My family came through Ellis Island from Poland, but Ancestry never really captured that. This week they narrowed it down to a small region in Poland and I was so excited to see it.

Favorite 3: SPORTS!! My kids are involved in a lot of sports. Sometimes, I wonder if it is too much, but lately I think we’re doing ok. I love watching them have fun on the field, court, course, and pool. Last weekend, I watched them play basketball and soccer. I am working on our spring calendar and can’t wait to see everyone back in the pool, Jack back on the golf course, and Luke back on the lacrosse field.
Favorite 4: WORKING OUT!! I am sticking to my workout routine! Usually in the morning, but I did do a few days after school. It feels great to be back in a routine and to know I am getting stronger!

Favorite 5: PODCASTS!! I have been listening to podcasts at work more. I’ve been doing some mundane computer work and they help me stay focused. My favorite podcasts are usually two friends talking or someone talking to me like we are friends. This week I listened to The Bestie Breakdown, The Lazy Genius, The Mom Hour, and The Girl Next Door. I used my earbuds to listen while I was working. I still love both of the pairs I kept.
Favorite 6: COMPUTERS!! Our school district is rolling out computers for every student. The media specialists (ME) are taking a big roll in this. We’ve been joking all week that the library should be renamed the Dell factory. I don’t think I would’ve handled more computers if I worked in an actual Dell factory. It’s been quite a week! I am hoping to be finished with our rollout by Tuesday afternoon.

We have another basketball filled weekend. I am hoping to do a little at home pampering though – hair dye, manicure, face mask, hand and foot moisturizing gloves/socks. Hopefully when I am back on Monday for Hello Monday, I’ll be rested and rejuvenated! Have a great weekend full of sunshine and books!

Love your rotating workout schedule! ”m trying to do something similar but haven’t actually put anything down on paper yet.
I love your outfits! Yay! For the author visit. So fun. Great job on your workouts this week. I made it work in the evenings, but next week I will probably have to get up early a couple days. I hope you have a great weekend.
Love seeing your workout schedules- you always inspire me!!
