It’s a book post Tuesday! I love these days when I share books I’ve read! I am linking up with Steph and Jana to show you the books I read this month. Warning – I did not read very much this month because of the Olympics. I also think that the book I was reading wasn’t drawing me in. Double whammy!

The Day the World Came to Town by Jim Defede (audio) ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️

I loved everything about this book! The story was so heartwarming and the narrator was fabulous. I’ve heard that I need to see the play Come From Away since I loved it so much!
The Gifted School by Bruce Holsinger ☀️☀️☀️ (2.5)

This book sounded like it was going to be right up my alley, but it wasn’t. It was too slow. The twist at the end was so far fetched and it wasn’t well connected to the story.
Just Haven’t Met You Yet by Sophie Cousens
☀️ ☀️ ☀️ ☀️ ☀️

I LOVED this book! It only took me 4 days to finish. I read it for my book club this week and can’t wait to talk to the girls about it.
Spy Penguins by Sam Hay (audio with Luke)
☀️ ☀️ ☀️ ☀️ (4.5 from Luke)

This book was so cute. Luke and I listened to it on our rides to practice and around town. He immediately asked to download the second in the series. We have it on hold from the library, too, because Luke likes to read and listen at the same time.
Currently Reading: One Italian Summer by Rebecca Serle

Hopefully my April Show Us Your Books post will have more books and books that I enjoyed. It felt a little weird to only read 2 books. We have a trip planned and swim meets so that will hopefully turn into lots of great reading time for me. Be sure to check out Steph’s and Jana’s posts and everyone’s that links up because it’s a great way to find new books to read. Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

Please let me know how One Italian Summer is- might add that one to my list! So cool that you met the author 🙂 Thanks for your lists as always- you always give me great reading ideas
I have The Gifted School and haven’t read it…maybe I should skip it! I loved Just Haven’t Met You Yet!
I love seeing author meet pics!
Agree! So cool that you met the author! I like collecting autographed books
You just reminded me that I had forgotten to place that 9/11 book on hold (again!)… the last time I tried it took them so long to fulfill my request that they canceled it and I really want to read that one!!
I didn’t read as much in February either due to the Olympics
Several suggestions that sound like I might enjoy. What fun to meet the author!
I haven’t heard of this link up and it sounds like one I’d love!! I’ll have to join next month. I’m adding “Just Haven’t Met You Yet” to my list right now!
