Hello Monday – 1/3/22

Happy Monday! Happy New Year!!

We joined the digital card crew this year. I wasn’t planning on it, we even had pictures taken! I just never got around to ordering cards.

I hope you had a great weekend! We have had a great week at home finishing up 2021 and welcoming 2022!

The kids played with friends.

I finally made my buttercream candy. I made a double batch because we had a bunch of family together. I didn’t finish it because the boys were sick and I didn’t want to risk contaminating it. Now we have A LOT of candy to enjoy!

We continued our tradition of enjoying Chick-Fil-A for the Chick-Fil-A bowl. Those peppermint chocolate chip milkshakes are delicious!

We hung Jack’s new swing in the tree. He loves it!

We celebrated New Year’s Eve all day long! I started with brunch and a walk.

We ended the day with more friends and yummy pizzas.

I put Christmas away all weekend. It is the longest I’ve ever kept our Christmas decorations up. It made me sad to put them away, but it does feel good to be all cleaned up.

Our last pictures in front of the tree for the year!

We played Kids Against Maturity and laughed so hard. The game is a little crude, but we giggled and belly laughed through the whole thing.

My parents gave Luke a waffle iron that makes waffles like Legos. He requested breakfast for dinner last night and had a blast playing with his food. The waffle iron came with two trays so you can build with the waffles. It was pretty cool!

We are heading back to school today, but I’m not so sure we’ll go. Our county already called for a two hour delay with re-evaluation. So we’ll see if our winter break gets extended by one day. Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

Good luck transitioning back to school- another crazy time for sure! I think we need to try that card game- seems like it would be so fun! Taking down the Christmas decorations always depresses me too- have a great week!
