Friday Favorites – 1/7/21

Happy Friday! We are staring down another winter storm today. I headed to bed last night with a two hour delay, with re-evaluation. We shall see if we end up going to school or getting a snow day.

Linking up with Erika and Andrea

Favorite 1: SHOES!! I bought these loafers in the Nordstrom half-yearly sale last summer and totally forgot about them. I was so excited to wear them this week!

I also got these out yesterday. I’m hoping the snowmen on my shoes bring some snowmen outside today!

Favorite 2: NECKLACES!! I shopped the Cora’s Deals and found this fabulous necklace. I love it! Don’t forget you can use code SUNSHINEANDBOOKS10 when you shop.

Favorite 3: PJS!! I got these pajamas recently and I love them. They are so soft! I can’t wait to watch the Today show in them this morning!

Favorite 4: YOGA!! My lower back has been really tight this week. I love these yoga poses to stretch out my back. They were even better last night in front of our last Christmas tree. You can’t take a Christmas tree down if there are still Christmas presents to give. I am probably going to take it down on Sunday.

Favorite 5: CLOTHES!! I decided that one of my New Year’s resolutions this year is to wear more of my work clothes. I really love most of my clothes and need to get back in the habit of wearing them. I am going to try to wear everything in my closet and dresser that can be worn to work. Along with that, if something doesn’t feel great when I try it on, it goes in the donate pile.

Favorite 6: BOOKS! I haven’t read much this week, but I am planning on finishing at least 1 book this weekend. I am still reading A Season For Second Chances by Jenny Bayliss and I love it. I am also reading Isaiah Dunn is My Hero by Kelly J. Baptist and I am enjoying it, too. Hopefully I’ll finish both.

Favorite 7: LISTS!! I didn’t really use any to do lists over break and it was great. Now that we are back to school, I am back to my routines and my lists. I have a list of things to get done today if we have a snow day or I will tackle that list over the weekend. I really love how lists keep me on track and help me accomplish so much. My friend Sandra gave me a notepad just like this and I love it. I plowed right through it and found another one at Homegoods. It is from Molly and Rex. It’s a perfect list size, fits in my purse, and has a sturdy back so it holds up well.

Favorite 8: SNOW!! We had a little bit of snow on Monday and the kids headed out to play before heading to school on our two hour delay day. It was so great to have a mudroom this winter for all the snow stuff! I love to make snow days fun so we have a few things planned for tomorrow, just in case. I picked up some Peep snowmen to make s’mores. I have hot chocolate bombs ready for the kids. We’ll probably watch a movie with some popcorn at some point to warm up.

I have car rider drop off on Monday mornings. This week it was just like a Hallmark movie. Happy kids, snow swirling, and I was saying “Happy New Year” constantly.

Favorite 9: LINKUPS! I love participating in linkups. It’s fun to find new blogs to read and see what my blogging friends are up to. I am really excited to be hosting my first linkup on Monday! Holly and I are hosting Hello Monday now so I hope you’ll join us!

We have a great weekend planned. The boys each have one basketball game and we are going to do Christmas with Jeff’s side of the family. I hope to do a bunch of reading and tackling those lists. I can’t wait to see you back here for Hello Monday! Have a great weekend full of sunshine and books!

Those tennies are so cute! You have the best seasonal stuff! Check out Magnolia Mamas blog for some great book suggestions. I already requested most of them from my library! Happy Friday to you!

I often use yoga to stretch out my back too and my favorite is a Youtube channel called Yoga with Adrienne. She’s so calming and I do feel so much better after stretching.
