Hello Monday – 12/6/21

Happy Monday! We had another great weekend! I have a few quick pictures to share with you of the fun!

Linking up with Heather

Not only did I read past my bedtime, I worked until my bedtime. I had family shopping night at the book fair on Friday night. When I headed home at 8 pm, I was ready for bed! My watch said I walked 6.5 miles IN THE LIBRARY!! For reference, most Fridays I only walk about 4 miles in the school day. It was so great to see parents and families back in school. I got to meet a bunch of kindergarten and first grade parents that I didn’t meet last year. It’s was a fantastic, busy day!!

I simply couldn’t resist the new Brooks Christmas shoes!! They were on the front porch when I got home Friday night. 😍 🤩

Jack’s basketball game was right after Luke’s on Saturday morning. It was so nice to be able to see both boys play!!

Since I had to work late on Friday night, the boys and I drove around and looked at Christmas lights after mass and dinner on Saturday evening. It is one of my favorite things to do in December and we laughed all the way!

This was exactly how I wanted to start Sunday morning – Christmas lights, sunrise, and a great book (The Christmas Bookshop by Jenny Colgan)

Luke has been working on TinkerCAD at school and at home. He really wants to use the 3D printer at our public library. He tried presenting his case Sunday morning.

Jeff and I were giggling because I just wanted to read quietly by the tree, but both boys kept loudly creeping closer. At one point, Luke was working on his computer at the end of the chaise I was sitting on and Jack was right next to me. So when Luke called Jeff in for the presentation, he sat right on me.

I watched Sunday morning and flipped through catalogs. I love casually flipping through catalogs and ripping out pages.

Later that afternoon we got all cleaned up for some quick family photos. Looking good Parsons!

The boys got these glasses in their advent calendars and are having so much fun with them!

If you read my Friday Favorites post, you saw I set a goal to read for at least 1 hour each day this weekend. I am happy to report that I did it! I finished Oh. What. Fun. by Chandler Baker and started The Christmas Bookshop by Jenny Colgan. I enjoyed Oh. What. Fun. and I am loving The Christmas Bookshop! Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

What a great weekend. Sounds like the book fair was a success! My kids always seem to find me when I’m trying to have quiet time too. Haha You all look great for your family photos. I need to do better about finding time for family photos. I’ve had very little time to read, but I hope that gets easier this week. I hope you have a great week.
