Let’s Look – 11/10/21

Happy Wednesday! I’m sharing our Thanksgiving menu today for Let’s Look.

Linking up with Shay and Erika

I really should’ve had my mom guest write this post because she is the Queen of Thanksgiving!

The Queen and me 😘

We usually start our Thanksgiving running a Turkey Trot or the guys play golf. After the run, it’s time for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade. It is a true family tradition.

While we watch the parade, we drink bloody Marys or mimosas. It’s so fun and yummy!

My mom, my sister, and I went to the parade about 15 years ago. It was so much fun!

My mom earned her title of queen from my grandmother. For as long as I can remember, Mom and Mommom worked all week to make our Thanksgiving dinner so delicious. That delicious dinner is always served on the turkey china you see on the table below.

Our Thanksgiving menu is pretty traditional. How perfect does this turkey look?

There are few things that might sound a little untraditional. We always eat canned asparagus and I love it so much!! John Cope’s Corn is a dried/dehydrated corn that we have ALWAYS had on Thanksgiving. I do not love it but I do love having it on the table. When my mom is making it, it smells like Thanksgiving to me.

We always add a bunch of fun to our Thanksgivings! We play games and have some fun props.

I can’t wait to see what everyone else makes for Thanksgiving dinner. I know that most people do turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and gravy, but I want to see all of the other menu additions. That’s why I love this link up – I am curious (nosy, really) and love to take a look at what other people do. Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

Our TG buffet also includes a GF stuffing that everyone PREFERS, believe it or not 😉 I think it’s b/c the person who makes it is such a good cook. Spiced peaches sound AWESOME but canned asparagus does NOT – ha! Roasted asparagus is always on our Christmas dinner menu. Brussels sprouts is also a tradition as is a red velvet cheesecake ❤️
Love the pictures of your TurkeyTrots. Years and years ago many of my family members would go out and run and come home to a big breakfast that I would have ready for them. Traditions are great!!!
