Tuesday Book Release Day

Happy Tuesday! I am so excited! I have two books that I am excited to read that are being published today. I am also sharing the two books I read last month. GASP! Can you believe I only read three books last month? I loved two and the other one was ok. We were really busy and I didn’t carve out much reading time. That will change this month for sure! I have a ton of books I want to read before the year ends so I am going to make it my mission to make time to read! (**edited Tuesday morning – I finished my 4th book and started a Christmas book 🤩**)

We had a big moment last night! Luke got his first vaccine!! It was such a great experience and he was so excited! So now, Jeff and I got our boosters, Jack is fully vaccinated, and Luke is one shot in.

We had a great weekend full of dividing and conquering. Jack had two swim meet sessions, Luke had one swim meet session and a soccer game, and Jack had basketball practice. The swim meets were about 80 min away and of course the boys were in different sessions. We all met up on Saturday night and went out to dinner. After a 5:40 am departure time for Jack and I on Saturday and Sunday, I was not cooking! You can check out my day in the life of a swim team mom on instagram. I am @sunnyscp and I saved the day in the life in a highlight. There are a lot of alarms set and so much time in my minivan!

Just Haven’t Met You Yet by Sophie Cousens

Hopeless romantic and lifestyle reporter Laura’s business trip to the Channel Islands isn’t off to a great start. After an embarrassing encounter with the most attractive man she’s ever seen in real life, she arrives at her hotel and realizes she’s grabbed the wrong suitcase from the airport. Her only consolation is its irresistible contents, each of which intrigues her more and more. The owner of this suitcase is clearly Laura’s dream man. Now, all she has to do is find him.

Besides, what are the odds that she’d find The One on the same island where her parents first met and fell in love, especially as she sets out to write an article about their romance? Commissioning surly cab driver Ted to ferry her around seems like her best bet in both tracking down the mystery suitcase owner and retracing her parents’ footsteps. But as Laura’s mystery man proves difficult to find—and as she uncovers family secrets—she may have to reimagine the life, and love, she always thought she wanted.

Five Tuesdays in Winter by Lily King

Told in the intimate voices of complex, endearing characters, Five Tuesdays in Winter intriguingly subverts expectations as it explores desire, loss, jolting violence, and the inexorable tug toward love at all costs. A reclusive bookseller begins to feel the discomfort of love again. Two college roommates have a devastating middle-aged reunion. A proud old man rages powerlessly in his granddaughter’s hospital room. A writer receives a visit from all the  men who have tried to suppress her voice.

Romantic, hopeful, brutally raw, and unsparingly honest, this wide-ranging collection of ten selected stories by one of our most accomplished chroniclers of the human heart is an exciting addition to Lily King’s oeuvre of acclaimed fiction.

**As always, the summaries come from the author or publisher because they know it best.**

I love posts filled with good news. My husband and I are getting boosters on Thursday. I’d love to know if Michael Buble got a little money for the title “I Just Haven’t Met You Yet.” Evelyn Hugo continues to be on my list. It’s never available when I need it to be.
