This is my least favorite Friday Favorites post! It’s my last Friday before I go back to work. Don’t get me wrong, I love my job and I have been in to school a few times this month, but I also REALLY LOVE summer! A lot. As in a lot a lot.
Favorite 1 – SUNSHINE!! I had the greatest time at the pool on Wednesday and Thursday. The sun was shining and I am pretty sure it brightened everyone’s spirit at the pool. Each person there seemed to have a smile on their face and was enjoying being outside in the gorgeous weather. The humidity broke a bit and it really was gorgeous!
Favorite 2 – GOLF!! Jack had a two day golf camp this week and had the best time.
After camp on Monday, we stayed at the driving range and both boys hit a bucket of balls. I love that Jack’s a lefty and Luke is a righty so their driving range pictures are facing each other. ❤️
Favorite 3 – THIS BOOK! I read this book in a few days and it was riveting! Tara Westover’s memoir Educated has been on my radar for a few months. I went to a Publisher’s Book Talk at my local bookstore and they mentioned it. Debbie, the owner of A Likely Story, said it was amazing and she was not kidding! Tara Westover grew up in a Mormon survivalist family in Idaho. The story of her childhood and how she took control of her life as an adult is incredible! It is told in short stories sprinkled throughout her life but reads like a novel. I give it ☀️ ☀️ ☀️ ☀️ ☀️! I found it on the 7 days only shelf at the library and grabbed it. I never stop reading a book to start a new one, but I did for this book. It was totally worth it! Then, I returned it and checked it out for Kourtni. I recommended it to my sister Annie, too. Actually, I am pretty much recommending it to anyone who looks at me. Go read this book!
Favorite 4 – RUNNING! Today is day 601 in my run streak. I’ve shared a few running posts with you (Day 365 Half marathon training Day 300 Fun Run Box) so you may know that I am a run streaker. I run at least one mile each day no matter what the weather or how I feel. It all started out with a running challenge to run 1 mile each day in January 2017. On February 1st, I didn’t have a reason not to run so I kept running. And here we are at Day 600. I shared Day 600’s run here.
