Happy Monday! I’m starting the week with Holly and all of you! I hope you’ll link up with us for Hello Monday!

This was a great weekend because school is officially out for summer! Well, sort of. In my county, school librarians/media specialists work four extra days each summer so I have a few hours to work today and tomorrow. It doesn’t feel like real school though, because there are no students and just a few of us will be in the building.

Jeff, Jack, and Luke played in golf tournaments on Friday while I was at work. There was an air show at the beach a few hours from us, but they planes were relatively close to our school. We saw them when we were outside for our end of the year specials classes. It was pretty cool!

Then Luke and I went to the pool for a few hours for the School’s Out party. When we got home, I tried to remember everything we need for a summer swim meet. The boys have been swimming for years, but it takes me a little while to remember everything we need at the beginning of the season. After packing up the car, we all watched the USA World Cup game. Way to go USA soccer!
We were up and at ’em on Saturday morning for our time trials swim meet. The boys and I were coaching, Luke was swimming, and Jeff was timing. It was a great morning of swimming. We spent the rest of the day at the pool and watching the World Cup matches. Jack worked for a while on Saturday afternoon.

Sunday was a mix of productivity and relaxation. I spent a little time at the pool working in our shed before spending some time reading and hanging with friends. Luke worked for most of the day. I did not take a single picture at the pool because my phone stayed in my bag for most of the day. I need to get a little better about catching pictures of the good stuff that happens. I finished the evening watching more World Cup and working on this post.

I spent a good bit of time working on my 2026 Summer Beach Reads list. It’s out now!! Be sure to check it out and pick a few books that look good to you! I’m in the middle of Brighter Than Before. It’s a great summer book and my first by the author.

I’ll be bouncing back and forth between school and the pool today. The weather looks perfect for finishing up my work at school and five swim team practice sessions. If you blogged today, be sure to link up with Holly and me below. Have a great day full of sunshine and SUMMER BEACH books!

Yay! You’re in summer mode! I am clicking over to see your books next. I loved Dolly All The Time and feel like it’s my perfect summer book!
Sounds like a great summer weekend! We finally had a hot sunny Saturday so were in the lake at last. I’ll check out your list. Thanks for hosting!
