Happy Friday! This was a busy week and I am pretty glad it is Friday! After a weekend at home, we hit the ground running this week. A busy week means a bunch of favorites!

Favorite 1: GOLF!! After a weekend with the Masters on tv all weekend, I got to watch Jack play twice this week. Both matches were away, so I got to walk two different courses. I really do love walking along and watching him play. The match on Wednesday was against the school Jack went to last year. That was fun for Jack and me to see some friends we haven’t seen in a while.

My dad and Jeff’s mom joined me to spectate at the match on Wednesday. My mom was holding down the fort with Luke. There is no way I could run this show without the help from our parents!

Favorite 2: KINDLE!! Luke has started reading on his kindle again and I love that. He took it with us over Easter weekend and is hooked back in. I love seeing him excited to read something! My kindle is ALWAYS with me and is a favorite way to read!

Favorite 3: DRESS!! I wore my beloved tennis dress in two colors this week. I love that dress! Apparently, it is my mid-April dress because my facebook memories reminded me that I wore the black dress on 4/15 and the blue dress on 4/16 in 2024 AND I wore the same dresses on the same day in 2026. Ha!

Favorite 4: SHOES!! Between teaching all day and walking a few miles on the golf course two afternoons my feet are feeling a little old. I did an in-store pickup at DSW for these sandals and I wasn’t sure they were going to be keepers. After an hour, I was iffy, but at the end of my school day yesterday, I was sold. They are so comfortable! I ordered my regular size. The website says they are not coupon eligible, but I signed up for texts and got 15% off.

Favorite 5: WATCHBAND! I am trying Solace watch bands and really like them. I was unsure about this one because it looked like primary colors online. When it arrived it was more of a sherbet color and I love it! It was a perfect match with my cardigan and shoes!

Favorite 6: CONSIGNMENT!! I am not sure if this is really a favorite, but I made our last drop off at the local kids’ consignment store. The boys have started wearing all mens’ sizes so we’ve outgrown the kids’ shop. We have a great kids’ consignment store and I have consigned a lot of the boys’ clothes there over the years.

Favorite 7: RAINBOW!! It has been absolutely gorgeous this week! The sun has been shining and it has felt like summer. You know I love that!! We had a little rain shower before Luke’s soccer practice and there was a full rainbow when I dropped him off. We drove home through car wash rain, but that’s ok because we need the rain.

Hello Monday

I am looking forward to this weekend. The weather looks pretty good on Saturday and then cold and rainy on Sunday. The good news about that is we’ll be inside keeping warm at a swim meet both afternoons. We’re celebrating Luke’s birthday this weekend, too. Have a great weekend full of sunshine and books!
