Happy Monday! I’m starting the week with Holly and all of you! I hope you’ll link up with us for Hello Monday!

We had our first at home with nothing to we have to do weekend in a very long time. It was glorious!! Friday afternoon started with a good walk with a good friend! It was sunny and so warm outside so a walk was perfect. Jack went to the high school baseball game and Luke volunteered at a soccer program. I picked Luke up just in time to see the Artemis II crew splash down. Oh my goodness! What an incredible thing to experience!! How cool to see science in action and to see everything go right!! I was glued to the tv from the moment we walked in the door until I fell asleep watching the press conference from Johnson Space Center after 11 pm. I am so proud of all of the scientists that worked together to make this such a success. Those four astronauts are so inspiring and every single person on the team that contributed deserves recognition.

My social media feed was so good this weekend! It was nothing but Artemis II, Masters coverage, and the exhibit of Queen Elizabeth’s clothes. How wonderful to see all that good news when I popped on to my phone!!
I got a few things done on Saturday. You know, all those weekend things – oil change, Home Depot run, cleaned out a few shed bins, exercise, cleaned out a few drawers, etc. Then I headed to my parents’ house. I was babysitting my mom’s “Christmas” cactus and it was had buds. I wanted to get it back to her so she could enjoy the blooms. Then I met a few friends for Jamie’s birthday. We sat outside and I had the most delicious drink! The Blood Orange Mojito was on the mocktails menu, but I asked to add Tito’s. Delicious!!

We headed to another spot for a little while before I headed home. I had a lot of fun, but I was really looking forward to going to bed early and sleeping in on Sunday morning.

I popped in to see some other friends that were out on my way home and it was so good to see them! It’s been weeks since I’ve seen these people and I miss them!
I woke up a little early on Sunday, but I read my book and was able to fall right back to sleep. I’m telling you, I can’t quit this book, but I will complain about it the whole time.
My big goal for the weekend was to repaint our wroght iron deck furniture. I got it done, but I did have to run back to Home Depot to get the ergonomic handle for the spray paint after my arm and hand started cramping. Almost 12 hours later, my arm and hand are TIRED!! Oof!

Luke wanted a desk for his birthday that’s coming up. He picked out one from Ikea and wanted to build it himself. I was happy to hang with him while he did it and he did a great job! It was his first Ikea build and he is proudly part of the Allen wrench owners club now. Ha!

I spent the rest of Sunday doing Sunday things – meal planning, setting up a grocery pickup, cleaning up dinner and getting my lunch ready for the week. The weather was gorgeous and we had the Masters on all weekend. I just love the Masters theme song! Every time they play it, I just smile!
Jeff and I had a calendar meeting on Sunday afternoon, too. Whoa! We are facing two very busy weeks with a lot of logistics between work, school, and sports. Buckle up Parsons! It’s going to be a wild ride!
This weekend had perfect weather and this week is going to be lovely and hot! I can’t wait! I’m not sure how much I’ll be here this week but I’m going to do my best to blog a little. If you blogged today, be sure to link up below! Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

That sounds like a lovely and productive weekend.
So impressed by your painting of the deck furniture! I don’t even think to do that!
Painting that furniture is no joke, so I’m sure you’re glad to have that big job done. Now to enjoy! We had fabulous weather all weekend too and enjoyed both the space coverage and the golf. Going in person one day is on my list! Have a nice week.
The Artemis II mission was fascinating, I watched a lot of the news coverage. It sounds like such a good weekend and what a bonus to see all the good news on social media.
Good job with painting the garden furniture and to Luke for putting the desk together.
Sounds like a fabulous spring weekend! I enjoyed an outdoor walk too and said “finally!” 🙂
