Happy Monday! I’m starting the week with Holly and all of you! I hope you’ll link up with us for Hello Monday!

Ok, I am sure we all know this, but as I typed the date I realized that we have 10 days until Christmas! TEN DAYS!! I am feeling the time squeeze to do fun Christmasy things in the next 10 days. Must. Have. More. Fun!
My friend Amy and I were joyful joyful on Friday! We made it through 10 days of Book Fair and it was a great year for Book Fair.

It usually takes us a few hours to set it up, but we can pack it up in an hour or less.

Luke and I were going to drive around to look at lights after swim practice Friday evening, but he had some things to do for his food drive and we were both ready to chill at home after he finished. Our family and friends, including you blogger friends, have been so generous already. Our Lego room/library is looking like a storage facility for ramen noodle cups, mac and cheese cups, and tissues. If you want to contribute, here is the link to Luke’s Ronald McDonald Wish List. Thank you!!

I ran some errands on Saturday morning and Jeff and I had our State of the Christmas meeting. We got a lot done and ordered and I am feeling pretty good about it. I also made these snacks for my girls’ night. I know, cigarettes are bad and smoking is bad. We do not smoke. But I saw them online somewhere and thought they were so funny. They are tasty, too!

I had a few minutes between taking Jack to a friend’s house and leaving to paint my nails. I used the Olive and June Splash of Cran. It’s a red with a hint of orange/coral and some sparkle. 🤩

On Saturday afternoon, I headed out to meet some friends for the night. We went to a fun restaurant for happy hour and then back to a friend’s house to spend the night. It was a great girls’ night full of laughs, some pictures, a little wine, and Christmas spirit.

I ordered matching pajama pants for us in flannel and waffle weave for when we were hanging out. I had big dreams of us doing some of the Instagram reels videos, like the ones to Unwritten The Hills theme song banging pots and pans, but we never did any. Maybe next time…

Sunday morning we woke up to snow. There was only an inch or two at my friend’s house but we had about five inches when I got home. It was a beautiful snow!! It clung to tree branches like a winter wonderland. The snow was blowing around all day, too. Our family room felt a little like a snow globe at times.

I spent a good bit of time in our room wrapping. It was so nice to not feel the panic rush I usually feel when I am wrapping on December 21st or 22nd. I feel pretty good about where I am in my shopping and wrapping.

I took Jack to practice driving in the snow. We found some side roads and unplowed parking lots. The kids were in and out playing in the snow and it was COLD!!

I got the call on Sunday night that I have a 2 hour delay with re-evaluation already. Woohoo! I am anticipating getting a 2 hour delay call for the boys, too. I love when they call it the night before. We all headed to bed at regular time though, to take advantage of a little extra sleep.

We have a pretty regular week coming up. The boys have exams and it is their last week before winter break. I have seven more days of school until winter break. We are all counting down the days! If you blogged today, don’t forget to link up with us below! Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

I love your back yard- what a view! Then add the snow and Christmas lights and it is just beautiful! Great job on that adorable snack- too funny 🙂
Love that red! You also got a lot of snow! I hope your delay turns into a full day!
What a festive weekend! I love your pretzel treats haha
The snow is so pretty as is the view out your back porch. We were going to have the kids practice driving in the snow but most of it melted before we could. I love your twinning moment with your friend. Cute shirts. Have a great day (delay! Yay!)
Those colorful joyful shirts are adorable! That sounds like such a fun weekend.
Lots of snow from all the northeastern bloggers! Love the matching pajamas!
Hope you ended up with a full snow day! We’ll be at my sisters house for Christmas and they got six inches yesterday. It’s so pretty but I hope the skies stay clear for travel. I’d love a white Christmas as long as the airports can carry on. Great idea practicing driving in the snow too. What a fun girl’s night! The snack is funny. When we were kids we loved sitting in my parents car and pretending to use the lighter!! (remember when cars had cigarette lighters??). Have a great rest of the week!
We stuck with the two hour delay, which was ok because it counts as a day. Cars with lighters! So funny to think back about that. Happy Sunday!
Thanks for the link-up! Looks like a very festive weekend, especially with the snow!! Great news on that fundraiser – thanks for sharing. Your girls night looks fun, it’s been a long time since I’ve done anything like that. Hope you have a good week at school – I’m sure the kiddos are ready to call it a “year” and have some time without studying hanging over their heads!
It sounds like the book fair was a huge success and good job for collecting for the food drive.
The cigarette snacks did make me chuckle and it sounds like a lovely evening with your friends.
Have a great week.
