Happy Monday! I’m starting the week with Holly and all of you! I hope you’ll link up with us for Hello Monday!

I am not sure what’s been happening on Thursday evenings recently, but I have not gotten around to writing a Friday Favorites post. I guess I’ll share some with you today. 😉 I had a great weekend, but I did not take very many pictures. Note to self – take more pictures!
Did you know that Holly and I have more in common than being super fun bloggers that love Lilly and host Hello Monday? Our husbands have the same birthday. So while she was celebrating Rob, we were celebrating Jeff over here. 😊 We actually celebrated Jeff on Saturday because he had to work all day and evening on Friday because there was a home football game.

On Friday, I picked the boys up from school because our local high school had their homecoming game and they wanted to hang out with those friends. It was so fun! I dropped Jack off at a friend’s house on the way home from school. Then all the kids came over here, grabbed Luke, went out to dinner, and came back here. I put out our Halloween decorations before the kids went to dinner. 🎃

I was hanging out with our neighbors while the kids were at dinner. That group has 2 5 year olds, 2 four year olds, and a 3 year old. Then a couple came by with their newborn baby, 6 days old, and I was feeling the love for all the stages! I loved toddlers and preschool stage and I am also loving this high school stage!
Then the boys and I headed to the game. I love Friday night lights! It was fun to see neighbors, friends, former students, and current students at the game. Our local team lost, but their actual school won and Jeff was pretty happy about that when he got home.
I was up early on Saturday morning to meet Jamie and Kerry for a walk. I parked first and I am a notoriously bad parker. Jamie and Kerry lined up with me. Oops! It was a great walk catching up!

I listened to The Life of a Showgirl driving to meet them and back home. I really like it! Way to go Taylor!!
Jeff’s been looking at cars for months and he found the one he wanted on Saturday. He did a lot of the bargaining ahead of time so it didn’t take too long to make the deal. He’s very happy with his new car! Woohoo!!

We went out to dinner with our parents for Jeff’s birthday Saturday night and then came back to our house for dessert. It was great to see them and have a yummy dinner!
Jack and I spent some time driving on Sunday morning and then we went to the golf course. I got a fast walk in while he practiced. Luke did some homework and went to a swim technique and film session.
I checked another project off my list – screen repair. We had some pretty big holes in a few screens from a storm a while ago and a son who did some screen cutting. I used screen tape to repair them. You can see the tape, but the holes are fixed and we can open the windows when it cools down later this week.
I spent an hour on the back deck reading Under the Stars. That hour passed so quickly! I am loving Beatriz Williams’ newest book!

Jeff took Jack out to practice parking and then came home to grill chicken and burgers for dinner. It was a great way to end the weekend! If you blogged today, be sure to link up with us below. Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

Happy bday to Jeff and yay for a new car! Have a good week!
I love when a car purchase is fast. My hubs bought his newest without me there which is my favorite way to buy a car : ) Happy birthday to Jeff!
Happy birthday to Jeff and yay for his new car. It sounds like you all had a lovely weekend.
Congrats on the new car! It sounds like Jeff had a fabulous birthday weekend between the new car and the team win. Evan has been pointing out to me that I’m a lousy parker too… only I do manage to stay within the lines just usually really close to one side or a bit crookedly. So now I’m pointing out other people who park worse than I do! LOL
Hope Jeff’s birthday was fabulous! Sounds like a full and fun fall weekend! Hope he loves his new car 🙂
Congrats to Jeff on the new car!
Sounds like a great weekend. Our homecoming festivities start this week. No fun busying a new car but glad it went seamlessly!
