Hello Monday – 9/29/25

Happy Monday! I’m starting the week with Holly and all of you! I hope you’ll link up with us for Hello Monday!

I missed Friday Favorites last week so I am going back a little further for my EIGHT GREAT today.

1-I took off on Friday and was able to enjoy the weather for part of the afternoon. I listened to my latest audiobook and worked on my word search book. It felt like summer and that is always great. As a side note, I am finding myself scrolling on my phone more than I am happy with and I started keeping my word search book out all the time so I can grab that instead.

2-Jack and I went on his first official college tour on Saturday morning. He doesn’t think this is the college for him, but it was a great start.

3-Our amazing neighbor moved to Florida in May. He is a skilled handyman and very helpful to the neighbors. The faucent in our shower leaks every few years because the mixer part wears out. Matt gave us the last one he had when he moved and we had to replace it over the weekend. It only took three attempts and two YouTube videos, but we did it and our shower is no longer dripping. I was proud to get it done, but we still miss Matt for his company and his skills.

4-Saturday afternoon was a get stuff done kind of afternoon. I was checking things off my list left and right – I cleaned and sanitized our ice maker, cleaned out fridge, made a meal plan and set grocery pickup, washed a bunch of sheets and towels from the beach and the week. I love those afternoons! Saturday evening was beautiful! Did you see that sunset??

5-I went on a long walk Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with my weighted vest. I walked by myself on Friday, with Luke on Saturday, and with Jeff on Sunday. It was perfect weather for the walks!

6-We had our board meeting at the pool on Sunday morning. The cover may be on and the pool is closed, but any day that I can start at the pool is great!

7-I went to a local farm to get some fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, corn, and apple cider. They made a yummy addition to our dinner. I am hoping the corn will be a good addition later this week because I cooked it and then forgot to put it on the table for dinner. Oops!

8-Sunday afternoon was perfect beach chair weather. I decided to take the portable fan outside with me to make my own beach breeze. It was wonderful! I finished my book and started another! When I came inside, the Ryder Cup got pretty exciting!!

I am looking forward to this week. I have a five day week so that should give a little routine. Luke has two soccer games so that should be fun to cheer him on. Jack has a golf practice so that’s fun. I am looking forward to Jack driving me almost every time we are in the car together. We end the week with Jeff’s birthday. I have a meal plan ready, so here we go Monday! Be sure to link up below if you blogged. Have a great day full of sunshine and books!

Wow! Sounds like a wonderful, successful weekend! Our weather is still pretty toasty down here, but I know it will be cold before we know it, and I’ll be yearning for this weather. Enjoy your 5 day work week! 🙂

How exciting to be starting the college tours.
Good job with fixing the shower, YouTube videos are so helpful!

Good for you figuring out the shower head repair! College tours are an exciting/nerve-wracking thing. Does your son want to play golf in college? We’ve had some gorgeous sunrises and sunsets here and October skies are usually so pretty too. Have a nice week!

Touring colleges is so interesting–we visited amny with our son back in the day. while our daughter knew where she wanted to go and applied early admission. They both did well in finding the right schools.

What a productive weekend – yay!!! I really, really like those kinds – especially when it starts with a day off :). Driving and college visits – I guess you are entering another phase of parenthood. . .they come faster and faster!!
Thanks for the chance to link up and catch up with so many other great bloggers!
