Happy Thursday! It’s the last Thursday of the month so I am linking up with Holly and Patty to answer 10 fun seasonal questions. I love thinking about my answers and seeing everyone else’s answers, too!

This month we are talking about fall decorations and fashion.

1. Share how you will decorate for fall.

I have fall things – uncarved pumpkins, fall leaves, a wreath, a doormat – that I put out around October 1st. I also put the Halloween things out then. I have jack-o-lanterns, ghosts, wreaths, little signs, and a doormat. On November 1st (and sometimes on the night of October 31st), I take down Halloween and add Thanksgiving turkeys to my fall things.

2. Halloween decor – yes or no?

I think we’d get kicked out of the neighborhood if we didn’t decorate for Halloweeen. Ours goes BIG! We are one of those neighborhoods with lights, inflatables, more lights, window decorations, things that make scary sounds, and all the things! Our neighborhood also tends to be a gathering neighborhood. You know what I am talking about, the neighborhoods where kids get dropped off to trick-or-treat. I love it!

3. Pumpkins, corn stalks, or hay bales?

Just pumpkins. I could/should do corn stalks because we have thousands of them in the backyard, but I don’t. I do not do hay bales either. I don’t want the mess!

4. Favorite fall fashion pieces?

I have a few jumpsuits I love. They are orange, pink, and black and lightweight enough that I don’t get too hot but I can add a sweater to be warm if it gets chilly.

I like to wear long sleeves with a skirt, skort, or shorts as long as I can.

5. How do you transition your wardrobe?

My number one transition move is cardigans. I love my summer clothes and hang on to them as long as possible by adding a cardigan.

6. Do you decorate inside and out?

I do!

7. Favorite fall scents?

I like apple scents. I DO NOT like pumpkin scented things at all!

8. Go to fall outfit?

I think it is probably a longer dress with a cardigan or ankle length pants and layers on top. I try to wear sandals as long as I can.

9. Do you change your makeup or skin care for fall?

I don’t change my makeup too much. After a while I will switch to a lighter color when my tan/self-tanner fades. I do use more hydrating lotions as the heat comes on at home and school and things get drier.

10. What makes your house feel cozy for fall?

Well, by the end of fall we have all the electric blankets out and ready. I like to keep the house on the cooler side and that makes an electric blanket feel even better. When the sun is setting earlier, we keep the inside lights down a little lower or use lamps only. I light candles when we are home for a while and that’s always cozy!

That was fun! We aren’t having fall-like weather right now and I am super happy about that. But now I have started thinking about my fall wardrobe and what might be missing. Perfect! THanks to Holly and Patty for hosting! Have a great day full of sunshine and books!
